Ataturk, a Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was a Turkish army officer in the Ottoman military, revolutionary statesman and the first president of Turkey who was born in 1881.
First he was enrolled in a traditional religious school, in,1893.Then he entered a military high school where his mathematics teacher gave him the second name Kemal (meaning
‘’perfection’’).Because he excelled in academics. His original name is Mustafa Kemal, but in 1934 his constituents gave him the name
Ataturk, which means, “Father of the Turks” and forbidden to any other person by the
Turkish parliament.
After, Atatürk became known as an extremely capable military officer by being the only undefeated Ottoman commander during World War. His successful military campaigns led to the liberation of the country and to the establishment of Turkey.
Mustafa Kemal found the parliament on April 23rd 1920 and he was elected as a speaker of the parliament by the government. He was Turkey’s first president and his reforms modernized the country. During his presidency, Atatürk embarked upon a program of political, economic, and cultural reforms. He found the first General Chairman of the
Republican Party. Until his death in 1938,at 4th times, he was elected as a president in his life period. He was the first president of the Republic of Turkey, and without his reforms and leadership, Turkey would not be what it is today. In his view, modernization of the nation and the state could become real by replacing
Arab alphabet with Latin alphabet, giving women the right to vote and participate in the congress, and abolishing the Ottoman Empire’s sovereignty with a secular government and a contemporary constitution. Turkey is the first Muslim-dominant nation that became a republic; there are also small Christian and Jewish minorities living in the country.

    At the height of its power (16th-17th century), the Ottoman Empire spanned three continents long. The Ottoman Empire controlled Southeastern Europe, Western Asia, and North Africa. Osman was leading the small Ottoman Empire in 1299 in western Anatolia and he was slowly extending his settlements away from his Muslim neighbors.
