PREFACE

The basic purpose of this report is to understand what Mutual Funds is, how does it works and its importance in the financial market.
The project report was made as per the requirement for the subject Financial Management for the PGDBM at Som lalit institute of Management.
The project held us to better understand the working of Mutual Fund Industry and the impact of the industry on the economy of the country.
Mutual funds are gaining popularity in today’s market because the investment in mutual funds is less risky.
It is hoped that the project report contains all the relevant and required information on Mutual Funds.
