1. My agency structure consists of the directors who are Pastor and Jeanette Ross, they are also the owners of the buildings and that means all the major decisions are made through them. Pixie Sanders is the secretary and she is also in charge of all the financial issues that pertain to the clients at Shepherd’s Shelter Ross Rehab. James Yarber is the social worker, pastor and also my supervisor. James is usually being pulled in 10 different directions when he is on shift. James makes some major decisions as well because he is behind the directors when it comes to how important his role is.

The former clients are aware of this and have usually played the same games that the clients have so it’s easy for them to catch on. In my opinion, it doesn’t matter if a staff member has a degree or not when it comes to catching on to what addicts in active addiction are capable of.
3. A stranger just can’t walk into my agency and say they want to teach or counsel clients. In order to be hired as a director, a person should have a high school diploma and a college degree in social work or counseling. Pastor Wayne Ross is a registered addiction specialist and has his clinical supervisor certification. My supervisor has his bachelor’s in social work and his certification to teach the courses mentioned above. My supervisor is also hoping to get his masters in social work. These are the areas were education is required in order to obtain a job.
Diane Markwell is hoping to go back to school to get her degree in psychology so that she can counsel clients on more than a spiritual level. When it comes to counseling, James, Pastor Wayne and Ms. Diane are the only ones who counsel the clients.
