I were finished at the kitten barn, we trotted towards this gigantic haystack. We were jumping and jumping around and then we decided to roll down the hay. I did it once and said, “I have to do that again it’s so fun!” My sister warned me not to, that I might get hurt. I thought it was going to be great rolling down the haystack again. “I love taking risks and having fun! I will be ok.” The second time I went and got up there and got ready to roll and dove in. I felt the rough hay, I heard the screaming kids and them having so much fun. I was tumbling and tumbling but then I heard a crack! I was in horrible pain because my ankle broke. I felt the tears on my face. My ankle completely broke. So there I was lying at the bottom of the haystack crying. My mom carried me to the car and rushed to the nearest immediate care center and found out that My ankle was broken. I got my giant boot to put on and got back to the camp site. I had to go back to school still. It was difficult to walk around and I had to have physical therapy. I hated when my ankle broke and I hope nothing like that will never happen again. Camping is so much fun if you don’t break anything. Since this happened I have learned to be more attentive. By: Lauren Givens
