My Appreciation for My Professor
My name is Phuc Dang. I would like to borrow this opportunity to express some of my deep appreciations to you. First of all, I would like to thank you for a wonderful semester. You are an excellent instructor, even though I rarely ask for your help in class. You have given me the opportunity to practice more on my writing skill by writing for the papers and quizzes. I really appreciate that. Secondly, your lectures about Racism and American Education are somewhat out of my league because those subjects I am not familiar with and I would like to apologize for my lack of knowledge. As you already know, I’m from Vietnam and we have nothing against Racism, so that was the reason I kept a mutual feeling about it on papers. Thirdly, the reason I chose to present my presentation using PowerPoint is to practice my public speaking skill because I intend to become a teacher in the future, even though I didn’t speak much during lectures because I am not confident in myself. I don’t know why I’m confident to speak if I’m the one who is standing in front of class, not sitting down at my chair. Do you have any insight for this particular situation? (Because I don’t)
Finally, I would like to wish you and your family a merry Christmas and everything is going to be wonderful for your family next year. Thank you again for your effort in giving me more knowledge about American society. I am forever grateful

College is a start of your new educational career and by earning good grades or securing a letter of recommendation, it will help make a student successful in furthering their college career. Getting good grades in community college is a must. The five tips Scholnik’s article ultimately is a small guide of that helps students be successful in their college achievements. Through a student’s hard work and respectful effort, the professor will recognize these efforts which will guarantee a student’s success.…

First of all, you were probably the funniest/most entertaining teacher I have ever had throughout my elementary and secondary education. I thoroughly enjoyed coming to your class. You have a lot of passion for your job, teaching us and personally made me want to give the same amount of effort…

I am sorry for condensing our lesson, consequently deteriorating your time. When I wasn’t listening I also wasn’t really thinking about it so it kind of caught me off guard when you said “our lesson is over,” but now that I think about what I did I feel kind of bad so I am writing this apology letter to you. Still, I am sorry about what I did and I hope that past times won’t get in the way of the future.…

I was in another room with the other students answering questions about their upcoming exam. I reminded the students to breathe in and out before starting the exam. I also shared with them my before exam routine. Also to make sure to get enough sleep. I feel as if the students are comfortable with me. After the professor was done with midterm evaluations the students were dismissed. The professor and I went over next week’s presentation on the video “No Mas Bebes”. The video tells the story of a little-known but landmark event in reproductive justice, when a small group of Mexican immigrant women sued county doctors, the state, and the U.S. government after they were sterilized while giving birth at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center during the late 1960s and early 1970s. I look forward to presenting it next…

During the Colonial period there was a lot of different outlooks on how the women were treated, how the men thought, how the children were raised. Colonization is dominating land, and its components. What I learned about the colonial period is that how they did things back then, is not how we do them now, they were more strict, powerful, demeaning. The first thing I realized about the colonial period had a difficult time seeing women, and men as equal.…

    The Inner City Drug Problem

Aside from being among the most undesirable of places that a person could live, the inner cities of the United States are said to be a horrible gangland full of murder, prostitution, and drugs. While this description is overblown in some cases, the inner city definitely resembles the definition given. Inner cities across the country are havens for gangs and the activities that keep them financially viable: prostitution, robbery, and drugs. The focus of this paper will deal with the problem of drugs in the inner city. Rejecting a broad definition of “drugs,” that includes alcohol, cigarettes, and legal prescription drugs, I will be concentrating on the illicit “street drugs” that proliferate in the inner cities of the United States. In particular, this paper will deal with the inner city drug problem in the Chicago area.…
