I have always loved my county fair in Tulare, CA. I love seeing all the different animals and aspects of agricultural together in one place. My most positive thought of my fair is educating outsiders about my animals. This was my first time walking thru the Fresno fair so it was a little different not being involved in the dairy barn. I was able to view the fair as an outsider in some way. This let me realize some major aspects and some things I have never realized about the fair.…
Corn hole was the second thing I tried at Fall Fest. This game is not the most thrilling thing in the world. There were several people that were waiting to play because it was pretty much the only thing to do. I am not very good at it, which is weird because the only thing you have to do is toss a bean bag onto a wooden box that has a hole in it. I have never understood the corn hole rules so that didn’t help. The way to get points is by making it in the hole or if the bag stays on the board, but I don’t know how the scoring works. My bags always missed or bounced off the board anyways. I was going to play volleyball after corn hole, but there was no one else playing it so I just watched a bunch of other people play corn hole. Countless other…
My best Pecan Fest experience was last year. I rode the Zipper with Austen and Hayden for most of the time. My friends and I played all weekend and had fun. We bought lots of confetti eggs. They were very useful when we used them on other people. We also bought silly string and sprayed lots of people. We went on the Zipper at least 10 times. I went on the MI twice. I went on the Pharos Fury a couple times. I ran around the yard with my friends and we rode on lots of rides. I helped my mom with her booth and I got a lot of people to play the game. I also watched my little brother perform on stage. After that I ate some food and then went one the Zipper. I felt so sick after. I got some water and I went home. The next day we went back to the…

Although It is the most dangerous way out of all of them you love to move around on the horse the most in this way of ridding. You train a horse to let you do all this by never not doing it. When they turn one year, you start putting things on their back and making it move similar to if you were on their back. For example, you could put a doll on its back, a rope, or maybe even a small sack of rice. That would help them to get used having weight on there back. A small person could get on a 3 year old horse, but a full grown human could get on a horse that is 4 years old unless it is a smaller horse. Trick riding tack is similar to western and english riding. The base of the saddle is the same as a westerns, but the bridle is almost the same as an english bridle. I call it a western saddle because it is really similar to a western saddle, but the proper name is trick riding saddle. The only difference between a western saddle and a trick riding saddle is the horn and the stirrups. The horn is taller, and the stirrups are made to be able to fit a foot in any direction. You can move easier than other saddles because a trick riding saddles horn is bigger for you to hang onto. The horn is at least eight inches longitude. Even though it is like this, there is a purpose. You can hang on with your hand or you leg wrapped around…
After dancing, as a group we go out together into the festival and explore what this event has to offer. We spent most of the day there. It was great to see how well all the cultures adapt together in one setting. Everyone seems to get along so well and it gives the environment such a friendly and happy feel. All the food booths pull you in with the amazing aromas, that make your mouth water. They are set up right next to each other and its like walking through different countries right in Tucson. My favorite foods were the Vietnamese boba slushies and the Greek gyros. I tried to make as much room for all the different foods I wanted to try, but there was just so many it was impossible! This is definitely what keeps me going back every year. The delicious food from the many different…
The beauty and individualistic edginess in the Afropunk Fest is a way for young fashionistas to showcase their specific style, personality, and rebelliousness. The Afropunk show which occurred late in August, was a large multicultural festival not only celebrating fashion, but also music and food that strengthen the bond within the Afropunk community in all parts of the big apple.…

I have been at since 3rd grade. Ever since I was 8 years old I remember that time when the older kids came and sold those delicious suckers. Then in 4th grade I remember when we had the Halloween Hoot it was so much fun I saw Student Council helping out. That was the best time I ever had at that school in my whole experience.…
What is your favorite holiday? Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, New Years? I bet if you asked anyone from New Orleans and the surrounding areas, their answer would be Mardi Gras. “Party Gras” is the preferred name for most college students. Although the weekend before Mardi Gras day is actually one continuous party, there is a much deeper meaning to my favorite holiday. Carnival season is full of rich culture, history, and happiness. From the mayor’s toast to Rex, King of Carnival at Gallier Hall , to the Zulu King, to Bacchus and Endymion, to the meeting of the courts of Rex and Comus at the Ball of the Mystick Krewe of Comus, to the flambeaux and the St. Aug marching band, Mardi Gras history has always been a fascination of mine and part of my life.…
There were so many stages and people. Lights, music and lots of commotion. The first band we saw was just so amazing and it really was a great start to the day. We danced and sang and had such a great time. I even ran into some childhood friends I had not seen in years. I felt so good that I could be part of this festival and it made me feel good to see people coming together for the music.…
When we got to the Illinois State Fair on Sunday I almost forgot that it was the Barrow show. That was the show I was showing in, and I was showing a Duroc barrow. I was so excited I could hardly eat my breakfast, a sausage, egg, and cheese…
