In my out of class essay, “Overly Done”.
I used my personal experience to connect to Malcolm’s “ My First Conk”. I learnt to use the 5W’s: who, what, where, when, why,and how. The 5W’s help my essay to add more detailing to my essay’s content. It adds concrete, specific details, support and interest to draw audience attention. And make my essay easier to read and understand. I chose to agree my personal experience with Malcolm’s quote. using the response set-up sheet, ”I agree that inner beauty is more important than outer beauty, because my experience of dying my hair confirms it.” I also use transitional words and phrases to introduce sentence and paragraphs,so they would tie back to my thesis
statement. I also avoid monotonous, when introducing quotes and paraphrases: believes, claims, states, grants, disputes, insists, reveals. An essay includes a controlling idea or thesis statement. Which is a clear statement of the purpose or the point of the essay; it rates the focus for what will be discussed in the body paragraphs of an essay. It also reflects a perspective on the author's work. The organization of the essay paragraph structure have explain the thesis in a logical and easy form for the reader to read. Connect the sentence and the paragraph strong and clear. Sentence structure are clear and effective.Analysis, interpret, explain, and support each paragraph with relevant data, examples, illustration, and reasons.I learn the grammar rules of comma splices, “Fanboys”. Punctuation, spelling and form are knowledge and competence. I wish to improve my sentence structure by adding sentence variety and accomplished vocabulary. To become a better writer. I would work on and focus on my writing skills. I cant wait to learn different types of writing, like letter, reflective essay, arguments, comparing, agreeing or disagreeing with a different. I would like to make my writing more interesting, by adding details and specific examples. I believe the process of learning changes the outcome and the quality of writing. EWRT 1A I am ready.
