One of my greatest accomplishments was when I took that college class in General Engineering. It fit within my interests perfectly, and I learned so many new ideas from that class such as electrical parts, motors, lighting, and etc. The class also reinforced what I knew with computer programming and note-taking, giving me a taste of what I will experience in a STEM class in college. Choosing to take that class was one of the best experiences and academic achievements that I have taken, as it allowed me to take college credit. I have also undertaken great struggles as a result of the events that occur within my life. My father died in a few years after we arrived in America, and his death continues to haunt me in a few ways. I became a recluse and my academics dropped as a result of that. In addition, I did not take school as seriously as I should have been, which led to having awful grades by middle school. However, I improved drastically after recognizing my mistakes and sought to rectify them by planning out my assignments and giving myself the willpower to do these tasks. As a result of these changes, I grew to be a better student, as I was capable of getting straight A’s again, which is a result of my own hard work and
