My Definition Of Love Essay
Love
Love, a four letter one syllable word with Germanic origin and has the definition of “an intense feeling of deep affection”. Love is something you feel from the day you are born. Not everyone has the same definition of love because the levels of love we feel are different. Love shapes who we are as human being and it gives us life. Without love the world would be a dark place. We learn a lot from love and we take that knowledge and make the best of it. Everyone has good and bad experiences with love and not everyone has the best of stories. However, many people enjoy the experience of love and embrace the amazing parts of it. The common truth about life is that there is love in everyone and how you choose to use it will change your life,
My personal experience of love with blood relatives is minimal. Out of the 17 years of life I have never felt so much hatred from my own family. There has been times that I have felt cared for and actually wanted, however that is about fifteen percent of the time I am around. My family gives me no emotional love and it absolutely breaks my heart. It is the most depressing

It’s having this unbreakable emotional bond with someone from the minute you meet. Love is being so happy you can shout it from the rooftops. It’s about having someone you can go to for anything and they will protect you with their life. They mean everything to you and you mean everything to them. Life becomes so much more happy and the outlook becomes a lot more positive. I met my love at school, just an ordinary day at an ordinary place. We got to know each other and share our rough times. Both of us have gone through some pretty traumatizing events and we have learned to cope. After a while we became something more. After a year and a half of being together, they have showed me more love, compassion, trust, and happiness than anyone I have ever

What is love? I never knew until I was fourteen year old at my first horse show. My family has always told me that when I loved someone or something unconditionally for exactly what it was without expecting anything in return, and when I was away from whatever I loved I would feel like something was missing, and only then would I truly understand love. At that first horse show I understood what they told me. For me my first horse show changed my life, it made me feel so alive and I never wanted to leave. Everyone has their own definitions of love but mine is for a series of events and is much different from the typical "love" that most people understand.…

Love; a noun; an intense feeling of deep affection. Now, when the definition of love is used in today's society, one might think of a scrappy young couple barely getting by in a worn down apartment in New York or Portland, sitting down in a pile of blankets and thinking of the most unique child names for their soon to be. One might think of a love between a soft newborn and their mother moments after being brought into the world, the love and admiration in the mother's eyes thinking of all the endless possibilities their life could have. Love could be used when the parents send their child off to school, tears filling their eyes because they are so proud to see the love of their life, their born child growing up and experiencing the vast…

The use of critical thinking is imperative when trying to persuade others. One must effectively use the three types of appeals in order to be successful. I have noticed how Danielle Crittenden and Judy Brady have used the three appeals in their essays “About Love” and “I Want a Wife.” Crittenden and Brady’s use of tone greatly effects how the audience perceives their writing.…

Love is an emotion and/or a virtue, representing human kindness, compassion, or affection. An emotion/virtue that everyone who is a part of our species has felt, either towards an object, person, or another creature (say a pet). It can be a beautiful thing, possibly flourishing into something that can be such a large part of our lives. Or it can make you do what some consider an insane act or behaviour, after all, it is a chemical imbalance in your brain. There are different types of love, there is familial love for your parents or for your siblings, resulting in different emotions felt towards them.…

A couple of days ago, I was watching a movie where an English teacher asks her students to discuss ‘what is love’. Majority of the class did not know how to respond. At first, I found this odd considering that love is a universally understood emotion that can be felt by most human beings. We express the emotion on a daily basis, whether it be towards our family, friends, or significant others. However, upon some introspection, I realized that it is difficult to come up with a solid definition for it because of its subjective nature. Love exists in many different forms and holds different meanings for different people.…

Love is defined as an intense feeling of deep affection. In Raymond Carver’s, “What We Talk About When We Talk About Love,” the idea of love is discussed from multiple points of view. When you think about love, your definition of love is vastly different from mine or anybody else's. Love is the most powerful emotion you can feel, thus your individual perception as to what love entails is personally fitted to you and nobody can tell you different.…

People use the term either loosely or strongly; either way the major question "what is love?" Remains. Love is a sentimental feeling that most have felt at least once in their lives. My personal definition of love is someone who cares and fights for someone or something. As Romeo and Juliet did the impossible to get to each other, even against their families.…

It is the one noun in the world every single person knows of, but no one seems to be able to precisely put his or her finger on exactly what it is. This is because to each person it is unique. It has been defined by words but there is so much more to it than just words. This one thing is known as love. There are three common understandings: the love between life partners, the love between family members, and the love between friends. It is funny that no one really knows exactly how to define love.…

What is the definition of love? That is a question many people have a different answer to. To me, love is not bound by a singular definition, for I feel that there are many types of love. There is a love felt for family, a great love that gives you strength and peace, that lets you feel protected. There is a love felt for nature, and how its' breathtaking beauty humbles you and makes you feel small in this spectacular world of ours, there is love for pets, that bonds you to them, and them to you. The most pleasurable love is a love of hobbies, a love of things that make you smile and enjoy life. But, when someone says "love", none of those seem to come to mind, for the love that is loudest and most persistent is the love for other humans. It is a love that frightens humans, that makes us nervous and yet hopeful, that makes us scared that we will never find the true definition of love in our short lifetime, and that makes us happiest and most content when we do find it. A love that is told in stories and tales, passed from generation to generation, a love between one person and another, that makes the days brighter and fills your heart with warmth and joy.…
