Excision of Lipoma- The surgical removal of a fatty tumor
Femoral herniorrhaphy- A musculofascial defect in the groin through the femoral canal.
Fissure/Fistula Repair- A repair of a tear or opening in the anal canal. A portion of the muscle is removed to relieve pressure.
Incision and Drainage of an Abcess- Surgical release of septic fluid from a confined tissue space in the body. An incision is made, and any necrotic tissue is removed. The wound is irrigated, loosely packed and left open to heal. If necessary, a drain is inserted.
Incisional Herniorrhaphy- (Aka ventral hernia) Where fat or viscera may protrude through the scar of a previous abdominal surgical site.
Inguinal Herniorrhaphy- The repair of a protrusion of abdominal contents through the inguinal canal.
Insertion of Insfusion Cathethers/Ports- To access blood vessels for drawing blood or delivering drugs/nutrients quickly and effectively, a catheter is inserted into a vein, and connected to a port, which is inserted under the skin. This is performed for patients who will be undergoing extensive treatments in oncology or hemodialysis.
Liver Biopsy- A test where a small piece of the liver is removed for examination.

Muscle Biopsy- Excision of a specific section of muscle tissue is removed for examination.
Open Appendectomy- Treatment for appendicitis: The removal of the appendix. An incision is made Patient is supine, skin is prepped from inside-out- from nipple to thigh.
Pilonidal Cystectomy- The surgical removal of a pilonidal cyst(an abcess near the natal cleft of the buttocks). Patient is in jackknife position. Skin is prepped from outside, in.
Rectal Polypectomy- The removal of rectal polyps. Patient is in the jackknife position, Prepped from inside out.
Spigeliain Herniorrhaphy- A protrusion of a peritoneal sac, organ, or preperitoneal fat through a congenital or acquired defect
