My Favorite Year in High School
Many people, including me, agree that high school is in one of life’s craziest and most unforgettable chapters. It is where one would begin to cross the boundary between childhood and adulthood, and where many phases of learning occur, not only in school, but in real life as well. I loved my senior year in high school because of teachers, friends, and classes.
When I was a senior, my teachers were experienced and helpful. In my opinion, the experienced teachers do more than just go over the material in text book. They teach students how to absorb the information and apply what they have learned in other situations. For example, the physics teacher was experienced because he made it easier. He explained the every subject in details and gave us extra examples, and he was ready to re-explain if any student did not understand. So, the students loved the physics because of him. Furthermore, a helpful teacher acts as a guide to lead students to success and treats them as if they were their own children and will give them a hand when they encounter difficulties. For instance, I had some problems in presentation in reading class, and the teacher was very helpful when I went to him. He gave me some strategies and tips and helped me to overcome these problems. All in one, my teachers were well qualified and positive.
My friends were intelligent and humorous in my senior year. A friend who is mentally acute can give us sound judgment and rationality when we face problems. For example, when my friend Mustafa noticed that my grades were getting down he talked to me and helped me pass this difficult period in high school. In addition, a friend who is funny can give us an enjoyable time, and add spice to our life. Personally, I can’t forget my friend Ali who was always funny. He made the senior year

Starting high school was a terrifying idea to me. Different teachers, class times, lockers, drama! I remember that I always looked up to my older sister while she was in high school. She had tons of friends, played sports, participated in student government, and went out for the school play. I wanted to be just like her when I started high school. In middle school, I lined myself up for this, I played soccer in the fall and basketball in the winter. I helped out in the school plays, and I joined the student government. I had a group of great friends, and thought nothing bad was going to happen.…

“I want to see the beauty. In the ugly, in the sink, the suffering, in the daily, in all the days before I die, the moments before I sleep.” (goodreads.com) High school is expressed as the best of times, but also as the worst of times. Regardless of whether we desire to or not, it is a part of our lives we will remember forever. It is when we start to figure out who we are, and decide the life we want to live. High school was my time to stop fooling around. The first day of high school, I awoke to the aroma of coffee brewing on the stove. As I get ready to head out my sister approached me, and told me “Education is the key that opens the door many possibilities you can be and do in your near future” I was so nervous the sweat started dripping from my palms, and I suddenly felt 15 degrees hotter. I was nervous, I knew this is the time to get serious. Immediately a thought came across “ how well I do these four years can affect my entire life”. At first high school might look like a time to have fun and have no worries, which was my initial thought. Later on you start to realize that you need work hard. I thought “How would my future look? I don’t want to end up hopelessly. I want to make something of myself. Sometimes it can be hard though. I just have to work through the pain. At this point it’s make it or break it, success is my only…

High school is a different experience for everyone. The first three years really blend together and do not seem important, but senior year is completely different. Freshman year was full of confusion, learning an array of new things. Sophomore year was where life started to get fun and you “belonged” in the high school. Junior year was where you see the little light at the end of the tunnel, but it was filled with anxiety and frustration. Senior year is where it all becomes worth it and the rest of your life is finally going to begin.…

Coming into high school ready to have the time of my life was a little over rated. I was 14 turning 15 and was not interested in much and now needing to have an answer to those inevitable questions What college are you going too? or What career are you planning to pursue? All of these questions put an immense weight in my shoulders and the only thing on my mind back then was whether or not I will be able to afford the latest Call Of Duty title. Up to that point I had not thought of what I was going to do. On top of that I was quickly losing all of my middle school pals until I figured it all out. Adulthood was just around the corner and I could not be worried about these people no more. I had to grow up and not impress the people around…
