my first bike ride
My Blue Bike It was blue. It intimidated me topoint of tears many times. After succeeding to ride my first bike was magic, riding my bike was freedom. My dad thaught me to ride blue bike. My bike was the coolest, most special, better than anyone else's bike in the whole world. I loved to look at it, riding it was another story entirely. Daddy loved to just do things. My first moments on my beautiful bike were filled with wind through my hair, my dad's hands on my back pushing hard as I'm hurling down through my backyard. There was a brief moment of joy but it's short lived because what I remember most is the frightening pain when I crashed into the dog pen. Daddy had not taught me to stop. I screamed from when he had let me go half way down the yard until he picked me up, brushed off the dirt, held me and apoligized for about five minutes. It was his fault, he made me do this, and I was going to make sure he knew that. After about 27 more times of this I finally got it, I finally could ride a bike. I didn't take advantage of my travel possibilities right away. I would do a short run in the parking lot and be done, making all time I took putting on safety gear a waste. I didn't realize the possibilities yet. Om a monday after school little me decided to take a bike ride. I had a feeling this one would be different. I had had a stressful day in first grade. I put each elbox pad and knee pad on with care. When I was ready I trotted inside and asked permission to ride my bike and was answered with a yes. I was off. During this ride I no longer felt wobely, I was sturdy. I no longer felt nervous, I was free. I went faster and faster, gaining confidence with each push of the pedal. The more speed I gained, the more wind I felt. It hadn't been a chilling wind I felt, but a soft comforting wind, the wind comforted me like a rare hug from my mother. When I rode my bike I was able to go from the park to ????. Knowing these facts gave me a sense of freedom. I

Starting the car with a bright smile on my face. Feeling absolutely confident. I released the hand brake and immediately hit the brakes in attempt to stop the car. My heartbeat began to increase as I started to think what I should do next. As the car stood in the middle of the road I visualized my dad driving the car. Taking three deep breaths I quickly released the brake again and pressed on the clutch and shifted to first. As I cruised in the neighborhood feeling proud I saw a hand in the air, as it got closer I realized it was my dad demanding me to park the car. Though my dad hammered me verbally for stealing the car while he was asleep, I had a smile on my face because that day I had learned how to drive a manual car.…

I tested the waters of bicycle riding by dragging my feet along the bumpy asphalt, but gravity was working against me. The incline was not allowing me stop, so jumped off. I walked away with only some bumps and bruises. The riding of my bike was put on hold for some time. My fear had gotten the best of me. It was not until the next summer that I would venture out again on my bike.…

    p. Neutrality Acts of 1935/36/37/39: These acts forbayed any lending institutions to loan money to belligerence in a war situation with hopes to get away from investment of American dollars in war. When I was three I was adventurous, to the point that I would perform very dangerous activities. My favorite “activity” was to jump over the couch. As you can imagine this lead to my first broken arm. “Your arm is fine,” claimed my mother when I told her that I broke it. She then reached for my arm and had barely moved it when I screamed out in pain. After hearing this, my father picked me up and told my…

My parents always said not to go down the hill but I was a young kid and what kid listens to his parents about a thing like that. So there I was riding my bike around the house having all kinds of fun like kids do. I have hills around the house but not like the steep hill that I was going to go down later in the day. When I first started learning how to ride a motorcycle I was very scared. After a while, I started to get the hang of it, but before I could become good, I crashed it into a barbed wire fence. I can still remember that day perfectly. It was a sunny summer weekend right before school started. My brother and I were taking turns riding it. My dad was mowing the lawn and my mom was at work. When it was my turn to ride it, I was doing okay until the second lap. The end of the second lap is where everything went bad. I was in the grass on the side of a hill. I remember getting closer and closer to the fence. I slowed the motorcycle down and put it in neutral, but I was still getting closer to the fence. I should have used the brakes, but at that…

I was determined to show my dad that I could do it. That I could beat my older brother in something. That I could be one of the cool kids. I spent countless days trying to learn how to ride a bike. Then one day I decided it was enough. Training wheels are going to need to come off and I am going to need to learn how to balance myself one day. I went into our garage and I had taken out an open ended wrench and I began to unbolt the training wheels that I felt had been restraining me from my full potential of bike riding. I have had enough of the “safe” route of learning how to ride a bike. I had ditched the helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and the…

I felt like I was taking life for granted and that I need to be more careful in what I do. I looked back and in my life I wasn't thinking things through and luckily I didn't get seriously injured before. I learned my lesson after that one accident and till this day I'm still scared to go off that jump. I think I'm scared of it because now, after the accident, I fear getting hurt or dying. A lot of people take life for granted and people only get one shot and a lot of things can take us out of this world. The quote, “ We are all just temporarily able, and every one of us, if we live long enough, will become disabled in some way,” is important to me because it means to me that people should make mistakes like I did that day and live without worrying because one day we won't be able to do the things we do now, so we might as well learn from them while we can do them and while we are…

I remember when I was four or five years old, my parents left every morning to go to work. I remember my parents saying “ Don’t you go out and start practicing on your new bike” and make me promise not to, which of course I would promise them. One hot summer afternoon, my Grandpa was babysitting me. I remember looking at my new bike standing beautiful in the backyard. “ Why don’t we go outside and practice on your new bike” my Grandma said. What he had said surprised me, because I never thought of breaking a rule. “ This will be our little secret, Ok?”, I quickly nodded my name and smiled. We went outside and practiced almost everyday that my Grandpa babysit. We practiced form the…

We were stuck at the top of the roller coaster with a couple of carts going over the edge, terrifying. Plus, the 0 miles per hour to the what felt like 2,000 mile per hour takeoff with no warning almost made me wet myself! As, we were going around the first turn my ribs were rattling like drums. My heart was pounding through my chest like a wrecking ball. Going up the first hill I slammed my eyes shut hard. Up and down the hill with ease I opened my eyes not scared, not afraid. When we finally got off the ride, my brother Drake started chanting “We’re not dead, we’re not dead!” My mom startled him by replying “Shut up, we weren’t gonna die!” “Yay, we almost did.” As I saw the next carts soar up I wished they would get stuck but, they didn’t. As, the day went on I did ride other roller coasters. There was one ride I did skip, The Superman, I didn’t want to get stuck on that one.…
