First cars are really special. Like most teenagers, I had to settle for a used car, but at least some of my first car dreams seemed likely to come true since my first car was a 1966 Mustang and it was my favorite color blue. It was the deep blue color of the ocean. My first car had some major problems, like the tendency to flood its carburetor at the worst possible moments and a thirst for oil which, made owning it a bad experience. The carburetor would flood just about every time I would turn it off for more than ten minutes. So my dad finally got someone to work on the carburetor and they eventually got that problem fixed. Worst of all, my Mustang drank oil like a fraternity boy drinks beer. When I first noticed that the car was using oil and that it would be a problem, came about a month after I took possession of the car when the oil gauge arrow suddenly dipped into the red range. When my dad pulled the dipstick out, only the tip had any oil covering it. It was then that he discovered that my car was discharging oil out of its exhaust pipes and that I would have to check its oil every time I filled up with gas. Eventually, I found that I was adding a quart of oil every one hundred miles and discovered that the oil blowing out the car’s exhaust had permanently darkened the paint around the car’s exhaust pipes.

The Japanese-market cars were launched during the 1970s. In the United States, the Corolla grew in popularity and the Corona model debuted as well. The successful Celica sports coupe was also rolled out and would remain in production for more than 30 years. This was my first Toyota model I purchased in 1987. It was a yellow, 5-speed transmission, 2-door, four cylinders with around 100,000 miles. I drove the car for 8 years: from Columbia to Florence, SC for the first six years; then from Columbia, SC to Charlotte, NC, for a year and a half, then after, until I sold it with over 300,000 miles on it. Those experiences sealed me as a Toyota model customer.…

I bought my car from my great aunt in the month of June 2015. The first time I sat behind the wheel of Mary Sadie, I remember the car driving much differently than the huge SUV that I learned to drive on. The breaks on Mary Sadie are much more sensitive, which caused my dad and I to fly forward when I drove my car for the first time. About a week flew by and I was…

Nevertheless, my car was incredibly mature it was a 2003 Buick Regal Joseph Abboud edition with only 74K on it. Before I owned the car my grandma had it, and she kept it outside for the majority of its life and didn’t have loads of money so she couldn’t take care of it a large amount of the time. The car’s underbody had tons of corrosion and was extremely brittle and would bend when you would jack the car on a car jack. I took my time taking the ancient vacuum lines of the car since they were dreadfully old and could break awfully…

The Ford Model T is a vehicle that was produced by Henry Ford's Ford Motor Company from 1908 through 1927. The Model T set 1908 as the historic year that the automobile became popular. The first production Model T was produced on August 12, 1908 and left the factory on September 27, 1908, at the Piquette Plant in Detroit, Michigan. My first car was a bit of a roller coaster, I had just learned to drive the year before and now it was time for me to have my own car. I would say the excitement I felt was overwhelming but even that might understate it just a little. The search began on a Sunday morning we went to several different dealerships, in search of the right mix of economy and style. Well, to be honest my mom was mostly interested in the economy part. The first dealership we went the car salesman seemed like the kind of over eager vacuum salesman you see on those old TV shows. The guy was just ridiculous, with his hair slicked back, and his slacks which were so tight he could start a fire. Every time he would show us a car I thought he was going to start a fire.…

While my previous car was not a terrible car, I had lacked a sense of ownership in it due to it being handed to me. Purchasing my very own car that I decided on, it gave me pride in what I was driving. I invested thousands into it fine-tuning and modifying it in any way that I desired. I learned many useful insights about automobiles, as well as having fun in the process. As the rules were for my first car, I had to come up with the money for the gas and insurance as well. Working harder and more frequently, I was able to afford and maintain the financial responsibilities required to have my…

As we grow older we tend to forget the memories that brought us the most happiness; looking back I would have never thought one of these memories would be the start of a new passion. It all started on my sixth birthday, my parents had brought me to the local motocross track, and this probably was a big mistake on their part. After seeing the dirt bikes flying through the air and the smell of the bikes as they had just been started, I knew this was my passion and desire to become the best motocross racer I could be. Begging for that first motorcycle everyday before my birthday. Finally the big day came, my sixth birthday, most kids would ask for a toy gun or something to play in a sand box. I decided a dirt bike was on my wishful list to mom and dad. I can remember opening up gifts inside, clothes from gram and papa, toys from family friends, and everything but that dirt bike I wanted oh so badly. Finally mom and dads gifts came, I opened them all up but wasn’t getting any hints that I had a marvelous masterpiece of machinery waiting for me somewhere, just somewhere I hoped. My parents tricked me thinking I hadn’t gotten a moms worst nightmare of a gift. But, I can tell you, It didn’t go unnoticed. After I realized opening the wrapping paper was the best thing I got to experience I made my way outside. I stepped off the deck not expecting what I was about to see; there it was, a brand new Yamaha PW 50 with all the amenities a six year old could possibly want. The bike was a pearl white that shined in the sunlight, I can remember looking at the black wheels like they were made of pure gold. The bike was just what I had been dreaming about for many, many nights. Who knew that still today, I would feel the same way receiving a new bike year after year, the experience hasn’t changed I have just learned to appreciate the endless amounts of time, and thousands of dollars my parents…

The first problem I got was after hundreds miles driving from Chicago on the interstate highway passed Iowa, I saw white smoke coming out from the back of my car. A couple minutes later I smelt something burning in my car; I looked behind and saw the smoke getting worst. I pulled my car over to the shoulder of the street to find out what is happening. I opened the engine hood and I smelt a rubber burning from the engine block. I decided to continue drive slowly to the next exit, which were only a couple miles ahead. I was so lucky to found a gas station that has a repair shop open that early morning. I brought my car to the mechanic right away, and after they checked my car they found out that my car had leeks oil all over the engine, which caused the oil level lowed and burned. They did the oil change and sealed the leek, they also told me to check the oil regularly, at least once a week or before and after long trip. They also told me to change the oil and filter every 3000 miles or three month. That is really important to know for anybody who owns a car, especially an old car like mine.…
