My first roller coaster ride
My first ride on a roller coaster was a scary experience! I never had a thought of wanting to ride a roller coaster for different reasons. The reasons for that fear was the fear of heights and the thought of me falling off the ride or some type of malfunction causing the roller coaster to collapse. I would just watch other people get on the rides and listen to them scream their hearts out.
One summer night, my friend called me and told me that the fair was in town for the weekend. She thought it would be a great idea for us to meet up with some other friends and go to check it out. So we met up at the parking lot of the fair ground and walked in together. My friends never knew that I was afraid of heights, so I was hoping that we would just walk around and leave. We walked up to the booth to purchase some tickets and proceeded inside. So we walked around for about 10 minutes just browsing until we approached this one ride that caught my friends’ attention. We all looked at each other and screamed, “Let ride!” I hesitated and told them I rather sit this one out. My friends assured me that I had nothing to worry about and that nothing was going to happen. They continued to literally beg until I finally gave in. We waited in line until the ride stopped for the next group to get on. As I was standing in line, my heart was pounding and I began to sweat. As I stepped onto the ride and strapped myself in, I knew there was no turning back. As I felt the ride began to go back and forth, I quickly closed my eyes and took a deep breath. As the ride began to go higher and faster, I began to scream! All of a sudden I felt the ride stop. I then opened my eyes and saw that I was upside down and there was a very long drop. The ride began to go in complete circle until it stopped. After the ride stopped, I decided that I wanted to go for one more ride.
Looking back on that experience I now realize that I should give things a chance before I decide not to try them. I also

There are two types of rollercoasters that steal the stage in the adrenaline-rush world. There are the steel roller coasters and the wooden roller coasters, each with their advantages and disadvantages. However, what makes a rollercoaster exciting? Maybe it is the flips and twists of the steel rollercoaster, or the depth defying drops and rattling turns of the wooden rollercoaster. There are three criteria that stand out when choosing either ride: the suspense and drop, the twists, turns, and flips, and the many different cars in which the riders can be seated as. I feel that the steel rollercoaster best fits all of these necessary parts of a good roller coaster ride.…

The Fury, the fastest, longest, and tallest rollercoaster on the East Coast. With a top speed of 95 mph and a height of 325 feet makes it the biggest rollercoaster I had ever gotten on, beating the Intimidator 305 by 25 feet. I remember seeing on television and wanting to ride it really badly. It just looked so amazing and since I love rollercoasters and love riding rollercoasters, I knew it was something I had to do. I had ridden lots of rollercoasters before this one such as the Intimidator 305 and the Top Thrill Dragster, which I had enjoyed riding very much, and I figured that the Fury would be just as good. So I asked my parents of we could go to the Carrowinds to ride the Fury. They said yes and we went with my aunt to the Carrowinds.…

There are different types of roller coasters ranging from inverted ones to standing up roller coasters. The types of coasters that I will talk about today is the wooden, steel, inverted, and standing up roller coasters. First of all, the wooden roller coaster has its perks and it’s difficulties. Do you like roller coasters? I do, if haven't ridden one you should at least try it because they are really fun. The first time I rode one I was kind of scared because I didn't know what it was like. My family went on a vacation To Disney World in Florida for the first time. When I told my dad I wanted to ride it he said "you know you don't have to ride it" but I said I really wanted to. When we got there, there was a giant electric guitar and it was as tall as the sky in front of the building. The name of the ride was the Rock'n Roller Coaster, based on the band Arrow Smith. It seemed like a really fun ride. It was inside a building and when I was strapped in it was very comfortable. The ride had two speakers in the headrest playing the band's…

My lengthy and troubled past with roller coasters stems from my acrophobia and my preference to keep my two feet solidly on the ground. I could never comprehend how some actually enjoyed being tossed around like rag dolls and having their heart leap into their throat. During the entire duration of my first time on a drop tower ride, I had my eyes shut tight and my mouth clamped shut. Surely…

Another experience I had was when I was 9. I was tall enough to ride almost all the rides at Cedar Point and I was so excited to ride them. We had ridden all the rides we were allowed to ride until we reached the last one. I was so scared to do it because it was so tall. My parents forced me to go on it and I tried everything to convince them that I didn’t want to go. They made me go anyway. We got up and I screamed the whole way down. My fear was very stupid and now I love that roller coaster!…

We waited anyways. An hour went by and it’s almost our turn to go on the ride. Then right before we were about to get on the ride some girl came by us and was telling us about the drop. She said, “everybody agrees that it’s the best ride here.” She then described the ride to us and we thought it sounded like a fun ride. The girl then left and went with her friends to the other line she was in. We got onto the ride, felt wind blowing in our hair, hands were flying up we were having so much fun. The ride then stopped and we got off of it. The same girl that was telling us about the ride was standing there waiting for us. She decided to go on the ride with us as a group. We walked over to the Drop and the line was empty. We gave the man our tickets and we got on. The man then said “get onto the ride at your own risk.” I began to look around nervously, I was scared but I wasn’t going to back out. I thought to myself “how bad could it actually be brehia?” I knew he was just trying to scare us but was also wondering why the line was empty when there were a few hundred people there. We got on to the ride and we started going up slowly, felt like we were never going to reach the top. We got 100 ft in the air and all of the sudden I felt it shake and rattle, we tilted to the right side. The ride was holding on by a few strings. I was so scared panicking, screaming for help, praying to god that we were all going to be safe. I knew I wasn’t going to live I just knew it. Wishing I could tell my family I love them, hoping for the worst. Knew there was nothing I could do, it was over…

In the winter of sixth grade me and my family had gone on a ski trip at MT. Hood. So far everything was going great I was finally getting the hang of snowboarding because it was my first year. Snowboarding was a little scary but I was very scared of the ski lift I don't really know why but i was very scared to get off of it. Later that day i did not know that my fear of ski lifts was about to get a way lot worse. I was riding on the ski lift when all of the sudden I noticed my hair was stuck. The lift was almost finished by the time I had noticed which gave me no time to get it unstuck from the chair. The ride had come to a stop when the people operating the ride noticed I could not get off. But by the time they had noticed it was too late…

Imagine a state fair packed with people and every second you get sacked, the fairs like a football game and you’re on offense and you keep trying to dodge the defensive end. The fair is really expensive, the rides are five dollars apiece, when I went on the tilt a whirl the person that operated the ride got on without being in a seat so right before the ride ended he ran into me but for some reason I was laughing hysterically. The guy must have gotten hurt because when I went back I looked over at the ride and then I saw a new guy operating the ride. After that I went on a ride that looked like a spider and that ride went really fast as fast as a rabbit running away from a hunter, I was on the ride for seven minutes it just kept going up and…
