My First Trip to Savannah, Georgia Looking up at the sky-high towering buildings I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was almost like I went into a time machine and went all the way back to the 1800’s with all these old fashioned buildings surrounding me. Then and there I knew I was going to like my stay in Savannah, Georgia. I had arrived in Savannah, Georgia with my Girl Scout troop we had been collecting money for months and the first place we planned to go to was to Juliet Gordon Low’s (The Founder of Girl Scouts) house. Her house was gigantic and was under construction but covering the side of her house was a beautiful enormous photograph of her holding one of the many pets she owned. Once we arrived at the side gate of the house they gave us a time to come back and sent us on a scavenger hunt in one of the many squares in Savannah a block away. It was fun and confusing, but we managed to complete the scavenger hunt and meet different Girl Scout troops and we even meet a troop from Houston, Texas. Once we finished our scavenger hunt we went back to Juliet Gordon Low’s house we entered through the side gate and entered into a gorgeous garden .Then it was time to enter the house we weren’t allowed to take pictures but I can still remember the rooms like it was yesterday. They lived in the Victorian era and had beautiful possessions and paintings. They had a lot of rules and one was children were not allowed to eat with the adults so they even had a little table set up for them. We were led to a humongous gorgeous spiraling stair case that led to all the bed rooms and there we learned more about how she lived and her life there. The tour sadly came to an end and we went to the gift shop and left her house to return to the hotel, and talked about the things we saw until it was lights out. The next day we went down River Street and this street was very well known of in Savannah’s history. It was very different from
