My Fitness Course Analysis
This semester was a very memorable one, because I had my favorite courses. One of my favorite courses included Weight Training. During the course of the year I vastly improved physically and mentally. I was physically stronger and felt confident that I could achieve any goal that I that I set before me. Before starting this semester I made multiple fitness goals, some were achieved however some were not exactly what I wanted but I still improved. This course is evaluated on self-improvement and participation throughout the course. For improvement I had to set many goals, which were successful and allowed me to become a better person. Some of the evaluations included beep test, mile run, push up test, plank test, knowledge of workout plans, and proper form and spotting of bench press. In each of these evaluations I learned several skills and techniques which will help me to improve my fitness.

The beep test tested how much stamina you have. I improved in the beep test significantly. In the beginning of the course my beep test result was level 7.3. I was personally shocked at this because I just hit a new personal record. However this led to over confidence and the next beep test, my level dropped and went to 6.3.At this moment I had many questions for myself, which included: is this class really improving my physical fitness, and

I really liked it because every time I did this evaluation from previous years to present I would improve my results. At the beginning of this semester my time was 8 minutes and 30 seconds. One strategy I learned about this activity was to never stop and maintain the same pace. These two concepts require perseverance and are very important for you to get a good time. I used these concepts on the final mile run and received 7 minutes and 18 seconds. If you received 7 minutes or lower you received a hundred percent. My results were close to a perfect and I was happy with the results I

The results I achieved were generally pretty good in comparison to the Army fitness requirements. The army requires you to achieve at least level 10.2 in the bleep test which I marginally achieved with a score of 10.4. You are then expected to be able to do 50 sit-ups in 2 minutes (male or female) as well as 44 press-ups (21 for females). I managed to do 84 sit-ups in 2 minutes and 82 press-ups within 2 minutes showing good muscular endurance. Your aerobic endurance will then be challenged again with a 1.5 mile run of which you will be expected to complete within 12 minutes, 45 seconds; I completed the run in 12 minutes, 15 seconds which I think could be improved but enough to meet the standards required nevertheless.…

I chose the activities I did because they fit in with my everyday life. I play tennis often, so it seemed like a convenient way to get cardio time. I also chose the Fitology classes because they were very consistent and I could get an hour of time with each one. I am happy with my activity choices. Although, I feel I could have improved my mile time even more if I had incorporated long distance running into my activity list. I often used the Principle of Overload in my activities. For example, in my Body Pump classes I would use more weight on the bar than my body is used to. Sometimes I would push myself to do more pushups than normal. In addition, I tried my…
