My Goals For GPA
My vision for this year is a little ambitious and it mostly has to do with school, since this is my quote on quote "job" until I graduate, apparently. I have had a goal that I set for myself every year and that is to get a high overall GPA, and so I plan to keep up my two year streak of high GPAs and make it three. I also plan to score high on the ACT; I have to take it this year anyway, so why not score high and not have to worry about it again. These things are in the plan for this year because I would like to get a scholarship for college when I graduate. For some colleges a high GPA and high ACT score can guarantee college acceptance so, that is what I plan to do. The only problem with achieving a high GPA for me this year is that my math and science classes have gotten a lot harder. …show more content…
In the past, I have had some of the best teachers of the school for these subjects; not that the other teachers were bad it is just that the material clicked for me with these teachers' style of teaching. I will not name these teachers because it is not important and not fair for the other teachers; but, now that I will not have them this year I am not sure how these classes will go. This year I want to perfect my writing skills, kind of ironic I am writing about doing good about writing, but it is true. I have had mixed reviews on my writing in the past. Most of my teachers have told me I have a knack for storytelling or writing a good essay. Unfortunately, my grades do not show that I am as good a writer as they have said. I am sure that the problem is more the proper grammar usage than the storytelling

For an example I set out a goal to become employed as a Dental Assistant by the time I finished my college classes in March of 2015, and now I can mark that one off my list. By the end of my…

Personally, I’ve always felt I was a decent writer in all aspects regarding research and personal narratives. Considering those are subjects that interest me and that I love to read about. I struggle the most when it comes to making my writing hold a deeper or hidden message when the topics I am told to write about don’t interest me. Having to do rhetorical analysis with old literature and having to explain the main idea was my number one struggle in AP language and composition senior year. But other than that I felt, throughout high school, I enjoyed writing and taking a majority of the writing classes my school had to offer, not only because it was required but because it was something that teachers and myself felt I did acceptable work.…

Without goals you have nothing to work towards. Some of the goals I have set for myself this year are to get into a high school program. The programs I would like to be in are Computer Science at Freehold Boro, Medical Science at Freehold Boro, or International Baccalaureate program and Freehold Township. I plan on achieving this goal by studying hard, getting good grades, and always striving for more. Another goal I have set for myself is to make the playoffs this year in football. I plan on achieving this goal by working hard at practice and getting all my teammates to work hard also. If I achieve these goals I think I will have an even more honorable…

This class has taught me many things about myself along with many necessary skills needed while writing. I know now that, through hard work and determination, I can achieve what I might think to be impossible. While reflecting back on my initial writing abilities, I see the weak, uneducated style of writing. Each essay shows my progression and improvement, and, after a while, the class began to become much easier. Today, after practicing throughout my essays this semester, I believe that I, in fact, have…

The art of writing is a unique skill that requires the writer to have great flexibility and be open to improvement. Some may consider themselves a “perfect writer”, when in reality, no one is, and will ever be. Writing is a process that requires one to continuously build on skills learned in previous situations, applying new techniques and strategies to future writing projects. Different settings require different writing styles, and with that being said, one must be willing to change their writing skills to suit the requirements of their current setting. In the following essay I will reflect on past writing assignments, identifying my best and worst writing courses, strengths and weaknesses as a writer, and my opinion on why writing may or may not be beneficial to me throughout my career.…

Within the marketing management sector of a business the importance of strategic planning is paramount. There are two main situational analysis techniques that are used within the industry to do this, SWOT and PEEST. Mintzberg and Waters (1985) wrote about the importance of an error free strategy formulation allowing for the most efficient path to be taken when achieving the chosen objective. With the use of a multitude of academic sources and my own notes I shall reveal the importance of this in relation to British Airways’ decision-making process.…
