My Greatest Quality
Many students have a certain identity that sets them apart from other students. I believe my greatest quality is my ability to get along with others and being able to work well in groups. This quality makes me who I am. I am a chill person that does not create conflict with anybody else. This could be shown with the numerous activities I have been part of. I go to a charter school whose main focus is on science, technology, engineering, and math. There are many labs that involve working together with a group. Since I am able to attend this school, I am able to get numerous opportunities to have hands on experience. These involve working with other students and completing a task. These group projects requires everybody to be on the same page and communicate with …show more content…
We were able to figure out the solution as to why the motor did not work. We did this as a team and was able to successfully complete the boat for the competition. I have also been actively involved in sports. I played both soccer and volleyball at my home school. My school does not have sports so I have to play for the high school I would have went to other than the current one. In sports there are many up and down moments. Sometimes the teams is doing good and other times they are not doing as good. It is crucial that the team is able to communicate with each other. There are many arguments that happen during a game. With volleyball the team has to communicate as to who receives the ball. Sometimes we argue as to was suppose to receive the ball and not. When the play is over we have to stop thinking about it and move on. There are many times you would want to blame your teammates. This has happened many times so I would always have to tell my teammates to forget about it and focus on the next play. Having this mindset helps the team learn from our mistakes and improve on our game. The same goes for when I helped out during the girls volleyball season. I was able to get to know each and every one of

After my first semester at community college the eagerness to explore new activities, and learn about new topics began to appear. Because of this quality-- a quality that can sometimes hide amongst the rest-- I would not have discovered by passion for my desired major.…

I remember a time in school when we had to do a project with a team of classmates. We were supposed to come up with an idea for a business and set up everything about the business such as the name, type of business, how it would be managed and so on. There were four students in the group and we were able to get many different ideas about what type of business we should have and what the names would be. Each person was able to be in charge of different parts of assignment, and that way no one was required to do a large amount of work in a set time. Although we did get an A, there were some failures as well. Some students in the group were more willing to give input and weren’t afraid to speak up about their ideas. Others had to be pushed for ideas and tended to go along with what the others thought was a good decision even if they might not have agreed. Even when it was time to divvy of the work, there were discrepancies. I particularly didn’t like the idea of giving each person something different to do, only because some in the group didn’t really care about the project as much as others and I felt they weren’t trying their best on their part. It might have been better in my opinion to work…

As a child, I was outgoing and talkative, but in 4th grade, I became more self-conscious and shy. That summer, I signed up for The Oak Ridge Otters Summer Swim Team. I was nervous to join because I knew no one. It felt like everyone was judging me for being the new member. A group of teens, maybe in middle school at the time, noticed that I looked lonely and called me over. They talked to me and introduced kids my age. They made me feel less nervous and excited to continue to swim. This was the first team that showed sports wasn’t about the sport itself, but also growing friendship and memories. The middle schoolers also taught me to include others and not to ignore someone for being aloof.…

Team communication is important for teams, and communication is needed if the team wants to be successful. For effective dynamics, a team must communicate because this process is crucial for a healthy and effective team. There are several frustrations, misunderstandings, and questions that are addressed with the proper team communication. Ever since I was younger, I possessed unique individual qualities. I was always the girl in class who always reminded the teacher about homework, the one who never missed an assignment, and the one who always made the honor roll. In fact, I never settled for mediocre because I knew one day it will pay off. Throughout my educational career, I’ve learned that being yourself is the key to becoming successful. The world is filled with people attempting to duplicate someone which is why I’ve always pushed myself to be unique. I devote much time in expressing my individual capabilities. Whether it’s singing on the choir or going more in depth into my spirituality; I always leave room for me. I am a firm believer in devoting my time to my individualism.
