Plagiarism is undeniable a series act and so essay for someone to commit this offense, especially if working on a paper at last minute trying to make a deadline. There’s no excuse for anyone to do be dishonest and used someone else hard work. I wrote my most resent essay for my Hazardous Material class here in AMU. I was given several questions and I had to research and answer them in an essay format. The guidelines that I found easier to follow was critical thinking and critical reading. I found them straightforward because throughout the course of researching the questions I could constantly keep asking myself question to verify that I was understanding the material. I found that by reading multiple sources on the subject,
I gain more knowledge therefore I could convert it into my own words and refraining from plagiarism.
The guideline that I found a challenge was adding the correct amount of citations in each paragraphs. Without incorporating the sufficient citations in my paper, my work was interpreted as being entirely my own knowledge. To improve the handling of source materials and to overcome this I have to cite credible sources that will support my ideas. Giving recognition to the original author will furthermore validate my paper. To continue to improve I need to fully understand the correct way to use the in-text citation. Also knowing that just by adding one citation in each paragraph is not enough to validate the information I’m presenting in my paper.
