As I first began high school I didn’t really have a place to go or a group to be with. I tried joining a variety of different clubs and organizations at my school and found that FFA was where I belonged. I had a great adviser my first three years of being involved in FFA, but after getting a new adviser my senior year while serving as president, I knew that I needed someone to help me who already had knowledge of the program. Since I had just recently joined Student Senate and knew that the adviser had been very involved in FFA during the time he was in high school, and would be more than happy to help me throughout the year.
I was hesitant to ask for his help at first, but as I became more involved with Student Senate I went to him for many things involving both organizations. As the year went on I became closer to the adviser and could really see his leadership capabilities, which inspired me to become a better leader as well.
