My Hobby

My full name is Zuebadreita Binti Badruldin but all my friends called me Reita. What I am going to tell here is not about my self but basically is about my hobby. I know that everybody have their own interest or hobby and what I am going to share here is all about my hobbies, what I like to do most during my leisure time.

First of all, I like reading. I like to read novel and mostly a story about love and life. If I start to read the novel, I can’t stop reading it because it’s make me wondering and wanting to know what’s the ending of it. When I read the novel, I can feel what exactly the author’s feeling, experience and what is the author’s intention in delivering the message. I can have such of feeling of happiness, sadness, passionate and sometimes I can smile, laugh and also cry while reading. For me I prefer to have happy ending rather than sad ending because is will make me feel sad and touchable.

Since I start my study, most of the time I will use for reading or studying my academic books. I want to gain as much knowledge as possible since the market today demands a knowledgeable and a higher quality of employee. That is the reason why I decided to pursue my study in Degree.

Another hobby that I would like to share is that I like cooking. Since I am a family kind of person, I like to spend my precious time with my family. During weekend, I will cook special dishes because I will have more time to prepare the entire ingredient and my husband always help me to do with the house chores. Normally I will cook fish head curry, chicken rice, ‘nasi lemak’, ‘laksa’, ‘bihun sup’, spaghetti, curry mee, prawn mee, etc. and sometimes I will try to cook a new recipe. My husband and son like to eat and whatever I cook they will finish it. That is the reason why I like cooking and for me I will never feel exhausted or tired because whatever I’ve cooked my husband and son love it.

Sometimes during weekend, if we have a plan to go for a picnic then I will get up early to cook and make preparation. We will bring together foods and drinks as rations. Instead my two sisters together with their family will joint us for picnic and normally we will have the most enjoyable time and fun because we get to share everything together as a whole family.

I love traveling as well. Every year my husband and I will make sure that we have time for a yearly vacation. We will spend at least a week to go for a vacation and normally we will choose only domestic destination and the most place that we like to go is island. We have been to ‘Pulau Langkawi’ in Kedah, ‘Pulau Tioman’ and ‘Pulau Sibu’ in Johor, ‘Pulau Redang’ in Terengganu, and ‘Pulau Manukan’ in Sabah. The recent island that we have been was ‘Pulau Pangkar’ and Telok Batik’ in Perak.

The reason why we choose island is because we tend to feel very relaxing, peaceful and calm and we get to rest our body, mind and soul from work hectic, noisiness, busyness and crowdedness of the city. We can smell the fresh air, hear the ocean waves, bird-song and we tend to forget about work, study and our busy life in city. Even my son and husband like swimming and they will take the opportunity to go swimming while myself, I will use this time to do another hobby which is reading. We will make use of the time as possible to get fully recharge before we get to start our normal and busy life again.

Last but not lease I like listening to music especially slow music. My everyday life will be full with music, at home, in the office and even in the car. Still when I do all my other hobbies also I will need to listen to music. I can listen to music from radio, television, CD or even from my hand phone. For me I can be alone but I cannot be lonely and live in quietness and therefore music will be my best friend.

So that is basically about my hobbies which I will keep continued to practice it no matter how busy I am. I think most of the people will have the similar hobbies with me and I hope that whoever does not have hobby, they should try to find one which they feel the most interesting to do such as gardening, fishing, playing sport etc. because by having an interesting hobby, you will not wasting your time with just do nothing or doing something that will not benefit you at all.
