WHAT DIFFERENCE CAN ONE PERSON MAKE TO A BIG ISSUE LIKE GLOBAL WARMING? IT SHOULD BE UP TO THE GOVERNMENT TO SORT IT OUT?

GLOBAL WARMING IS A HUGE PROBLEM FOR THE PLANET. GLOBAL WARMING IS THE RISE IN TEMPERATURE OF THE EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE. IT IS VITAL FOR YOU TO KNOW THAT GLOBAL WARMING CAN ALSO BE A REASON FOR THE EARTH TO DESTROY. THE SUN'S RAY'S PASSES DOWN TO THE EARTH AND THEN THE EARTH GETS WARMER, THE EARTH GETS WARMER THEN THE SEA LEVELS RISE AND THERE COULD BE SEVERE FLOODS, TORNADOS, HURRICANES AND BLIZZARDS. GLOBAL WARMING ALSO PRODUCES GREENHOUSE GASES THAT ARE GASES WHICH ARE NATURAL AND MAKE UP A KIND OF THERMAL BLANKET OVER THE EARTH. THE THERMAL BLANKET GETS THICKER AND TOO MUCH HEAT IS KEPT IN THE EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE THAT IS WHERE GLOBAL WARMING IS A PROBLEM.

HERE ARE SOME THINGS YOU CAN DO TO STOP GLOBAL WARMING AS INDIVIDUALS: RECYCLE GLASS BOTTLES, JARS, NEWSPAPERS AND MAGAZINES AND TIN CANS, RE-USE PLASTIC SHOPPING BAGS AND ENVELOPES, BUY ORGANIC FOOD, BUY A HYBRID CAR AND CYCLE TO PLACES!

HERE ARE SOME THINGS YOU CAN DO TO STOP GLOBAL WARMING AS A GROUP: MAKE UP A CLUB ABOUT PLANTING TREES AND SEE IF YOU HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE. WHY DON'T YOU START CAMPAIGNING ABOUT REDUCING ELECTRICITY? START PROTESTING AGAINST GLOBAL WARMING.

HERE ARE SOME THINGS GOVERNMENTS CAN DO TO STOP GLOBAL WARMING: GOVERNMENTS ALSO HAS LONG-TERM PLANS TO LOWER CO2 AND OTHER GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS EVEN FURTHER. THE CLIMATE CHANGE ACT INCLUDES LEGALLY BINDING TARGETS, INCLUDING AN 80 PER CENT CUT IN GREENHOUSE GASES BY 2050. COPENHAGEN GOVERNMENTS HAS DECIDED TO AN AGREEMENT THAT ALL COUNTRIES NEED TO TAKE ACTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE.

THE MOST EFFECTIVE ACTION ARE INDIVIDUALS BECAUSE YOU CAN REDUCE GLOBAL WARMING BY DOING SIMPLE THINGS WHICH CAN MAKE SUCH A BIG DIFFERENCE TO THE WORLD.

Did you know that by our everyday habits and choices, the average American puts out 22 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) per year? Experts studying the recent climate history of the earth agree now that global warming is occurring at a precipitous rate, and human activities are the dominant force driving the trend. Our smokestacks, tailpipes, and burning forests emit CO2 and other gasses that add to the planet’s natural greenhouse effect, allowing sunlight in, but preventing some of the resulting heat from radiating back to space. Many climate experts say that without big curbs in greenhouse gas emissions, the 21st century could see temperatures rise 3 to 8 degrees, weather patterns sharply shift, ice sheets shrink, and seas rise several feet. The problem of global warming seems overwhelming, but there is a lot you can do to help. Reducing your personal share of global warming emissions is easier than you think.…

The ‘best’ policies that respond to climate change are the ones that go beyond addressing global warming, they also need to take greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions into account, since GHG’s pose a greater threat to society than that of global warming. Thus, the best policies will cut emissions and stabilize the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.…

Humans commit many acts which contribute to global warming, such as deforestation, the burning of fossil fuels, and the use of CFCs. These acts all heat our planet by either increases carbon dioxide levels, increases carbon dioxide concentrations, or by destroying the ozone layer, which protects us from ultraviolet radiation. So, this global warming is human caused. We must limit release of this destructive carbon dioxide in order to truly help reduce the effects of this…

First, we have global warming, which is a problem that must be solved as soon as possible. Some ignorant people think that it won’t happen but we are actually living this situation right now, every single day. According to some NASA studies, since 1950, the average temperature has climbed 1.4Fahrenheit degrees around the world. As a consequence of this fact, an Arctic ice area, which was bigger than the United States, has melted this year! Another evidence of global warning is that the frequency and number of hurricanes and earthquakes around the world has increased the last years. The irony of all this is that even though we do realize what is happening; even though we know that we are destroying our planet, we are still polluting, wasting and damaging.…

Global warming is not a new concept; we attribute this to “greenhouse gas” emissions. We see the effects of greenhouse gases on the environment as each year passes. It is assumed that the Earth will continue to warm as time goes on. Do we need to do something about this now or should we do nothing? There are issues to be considered including, “If we do something about it, who will pay for the changes, and by changing things will we create more problems?” Some people are ready to address these issues now and others are arguing that it may be best to do nothing, according to how much cost will be incurred in finding solutions. We will look at opinions from experts in an attempt to reach a conclusion, although I personally feel the world will benefit by slowing down our use of fossil fuels, enacting an increase in reusing everything we can in order to eliminate waste and clean up our environment in response to so many years ignoring a potential problem.…
