My Home My Environment 2013 A. INTRODUCTION: a. ENVIRONMENT: Environment literally means surrounding and everything that affect an organism during its lifetime is collectively known as its environment. In another words “Environment is sum total of water, air and land interrelationships among themselves and also with the human being, other living organisms and property”. It includes all the physical and biological surrounding and their interactions. b. MY HOME ENVIRONMENT IS BETTER THAN OTHER: I live in small village named KASHIPUR ALAMPUR. My home is located at the border of my village. My home is surrounded by our garden; various types of tress are there. In the back side of my home there is large pond where various types of fishes are there. In the front side of my home we have flower garden. In the extreme back of our house we have crop field where we grow paddy. Beside our home there is large play ground where our village children regularly come to play various games. There is primary school besides that play ground and a cultural club. On the whole my home’s environment is having complete environment elements. Its beauty lies in its purity. As my home is very far from town and factories so its nature is pure and less polluted. For all of these MY HOME ENVIRONMENT IS BETTER THAN OTHER. c. BEAUTIES OF MY HOME SURROUNDINGS: i. Efficient production and a good working environment are complementary. The elimination of inefficiencies and accident hazards caused by unfavourable conditions in and about the workplace is essential in getting the job done properly and safely. The attention to these important details which may be overlooked when management’s attention is concentrated upon such amenities as good cloakrooms, canteens, rest rooms, recreational facilities, etc. is widely referred to as “good housekeeping”. Good housekeeping involves every phase of industrial operations and should apply throughout the entire premises, indoors and out. It is more than mere cleanliness. It requires orderly conditions, the avoidance of congestion, and attention to such details as an orderly layout of the whole workplace, the marking of aisles, adequate storage arrangements, and maintenance. Industrial Housekeeping Industrial housekeeping a place for everything and everything in its place "; it must mean more than painting aisle ways and sweeping the aisles. To me, it is that indefinable reaction when making -an inspection, that here is a plant, well organized, well kept, and on its toes in plant hygiene. For a plant to create this reaction on a trained observer involves a great deal of planned effort and some expenditure by management, and this cannot be accomplished…

India’s large population lives in its villages. Villages are known for their local/regional rich tradition and culture, which is also reflected in their rural settlement patterns. Understanding the traditional architecture with respect to climate responsive built-environment, construction techniques, air movement, humidity, thermal comforts and day lighting provide vital lessons for prevailing architectural practice in the region. Vernacular houses were analysed in many ways to identify performance of traditional houses constructed to withstand extreme weather conditions. The materials used for the construction also help to improve the energy performances of the dwellings/buildings,(Zhai and Previtali 2010). Vernacular housing…
