My Ideal Friend - Low
MY IDEAL FRIEND

My ideal friend is Frank. I’m sure Frank is my ideal friend because we have been friends for many years already. Since we were kids, Frank has always been there when I fell down from my bicycle, when I was scolded by my parents, and helped me chase away dogs that were chasing me whenever we walked to school.

One day, when I was walking to school together with Frank, we were attacked by 2 stray dogs. Frank took a stick and hit one of the dogs on the nose and the other dog on its leg. I was afraid of dogs but Frank was brave. He was afraid too but he wanted to make sure that his friend was protected. I am not as brave as Frank and thanks to him, I learned that we have to be brave even though we are afraid of something.

When I was in school, I was always being bullied by others because I was small. There was a boy called Rino that will always take my money and I did not tell anyone about this. Rino was much bigger than me and I was afraid he would beat me if I told anyone that he took my money. After 2 years, Frank saw Rino taking my money behind an empty class during recess and he pushed him away from me. He told him that if he saw him doing it again, he would tell the Principal about this. Since then, Rino never bullied me and my life in school became better.

Now that we’re already seniors in this school, both Frank and I are involved in many activities and study groups. I managed to have many friends because of him and he has taught me many things about our subjects and school activities. I have become a better leader because of him and I have learned many skills from entering sports activities like hockey and rugby. Together, we managed to be selected for the state team and represented Sabah for hockey and played together in Kuala Lumpur. This is how Frank has improved me as an individual.

All in all, Frank has never left my side and is still my best friend today. His character and attitude has made him an ideal friend to me. I

Even though people were scared and their lives were in danger they still showed loads of bravery. According to Mayblum, “On the 85th floor a brave associate of mine and I headed back up to our office to drag out my partner who stayed behind.” That showed tons of bravery for going back up a fiery building to save a friend. Another man was seen being brave as he fought a fire with an emergency hose. Mayblums partner also showed bravery by testing an elevator to help a heavyset man make it out of the building. These people were scared but hid the fear and let the bravery inside them be seen on September 11, 2001.…

Bullying is described as the use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants. Within the short stories,” The White Circle” by John Bell Clayton,” The Day I Followed” by Eric Luper, and” Bully on the Ledge” by Kurtis Scaletta, someone has to overcome the obstacles of being bullied, or the bully themselves, and admittedly regretting it in the end. The common thread in these three short stories is to think about your decisions before you make them a reality and end up regretting them in the cessation of everything.…

I remember when I was in 1st grade; I went to a new elementary school. Almost everyone that was in my class had been going to that school since pre-kindergarten and had broken off into little groups within the class. I didn’t talk much and nobody made an approach to talk to me first. It was like that for a couple of days but then somebody took the initiative and talked to me. She introduced me to other groups and slowly, I started making friends. She was brave because although everyone else made the decision to ignore me, she took a stand and started talking to me. This was courageous because she did what others did not want to do and went against the flow.…

Constantly being surrounded by people and animals created a hectic lifestyle for my family and me which has encouraged us to manage our time better as we got older. After we left private school for public school, I experienced the most difficult year of my life. In addition to being “the new kid,” I was bullied. At the time, I did not realize what it was because the bullies acted like my friends, but after they attacked me during lunch—pouring milk all over my hair—the janitor told a teacher who intervened. The principal interrogated me, making it appear as though it was my fault for being bullied,…

Imagine playing hockey with a bunch of boys and being the only girl it's very difficult, even more then it sounds. I was the only girl on the team and most of the boys would refuse to pass the puck to me or even tell me when I did a good play. This didn't bother me very much because I knew I would just have to work harder to prove them wrong, it was a challenge I was ready to take on. Half the season was done and everyone got to know me better and most of the team started to be friends with me, except one. His name was Aidan, he had blonde hair and blue eyes. He would always insult me before and after practice, in front of the rest of our team but they would never say anything to the coaches. Yes it was difficult to not let it get to me but I would always tell myself to just let it go. One day before our game he came up to me while I was alone and started insulting me and swearing at me. My only defence was to stand up for myself and tell him what I thought, I pinned him against the wall and told him how bullying people isn't gonna make himself feel better and that he should stop immediately. After that day, he never bugged me again and that act of courage changed my life for the better.…
