My Ideal Place
My ideal place to be alone with my thoughts is at home in my back yard on my basketball court. It’s not an actual court it’s just sand, dirt, and grass. It’s so country like and it’s surrounded by trees on all its sides just as a peninsula surrounded by water. To just hear the trees swaying back and forth on a windy day. When the sun is not shining because the clouds filled the sky to cover it like a jacket on a cold day that covers your body from the cold weather. It’s so peaceful just to play ball not being serious and just being you on the court. As I get tired of playing I sit on my ball thinking of every little thing there was to think about. Knowing that the ball will go flat with every thought that I thought. I come to this place often, but not much to relieve my stress that builds up on that day or that period of time, and maybe had some kind of work that I had to do that I felt that I couldn’t possibly do at that particular time. This place I go to relieve my stress and it helps me to build up my courage to go back strong on what I had to do, and I accomplish my task. This ideal place is where I will always and forever go too to be alone with my thoughts.

I am going to try to explain the British Colonies in America to an English citizen. I will emphasize the differences and the similarities of the northern, middle, and southern colonies. I am going to emphasize this by explaining the topics of origin, religion, government, economics, labor, and social life of the colonies. I will also explain how the differences and similarities of the colonies effected the relationship between New England and the Revolution and how the French and Indian war effected the colonies. Lastly, I will address how this can still be observed today.…

Prohibition was not a noble experiment. Though well-intentioned, it was badly applied, and had many negative consequences. People suffered in many ways due to its unforeseen effects- people lost their jobs, lost money, and many even died of alcohol poisoning from tainted products sold on the black market. Prohibition also overcrowded jails and clogged up our justice system with nonviolent offenders- ensuring that violent criminals’ cases wouldn’t be processed with the proper attention to detail and allowing some to walk free. The lasting effects of prohibition are all around today’s world, and its seen (for the most part) as well intentioned- but applied in the worst way.…

    My Ideal America

I believe that America should strive to be a country of freedom, equality, and choice. If a person would want to do something that doesn’t harm anyone, then that person would have the freedom to do it. For example, if a person would want to have an abortion, they would be able to have the freedom to choose to have an abortion. However, this is within reason and a person wouldn’t be able to do something that would possibly harm another person. I believe that in a perfect world, America’s government would be there to help the people. The government would provide basic rights to the people such as universal health care. Disadvantaged Americans would receive more help from the government.…

    My Special Place

As dew glistens across a field of grass and wild flowers, the sun rises, and a new day dawns. Butterflies dance across the field as they collect pollen off of the wildflowers and the sounds of birds singing their morning tune resounding across scenery. The gentle morning breeze brings the intense color of the flowers to life. Their natural soft and sweet fragrance along with the trees swaying is hypotonic in their rhythm. The gentle babbling of a slow flowing creek, Crackling and bubbling as it flows down stream with its crystal clear water, shows no signs of ever being touched by man. My special place overwhelms me with feelings by the flooding of senses.…

My special place is quit different from everyone else. It is not only the place that I love to go to, it's also the place I work, the place I see my friends, and the place I met my husband. It was the place that I would be the entertainer, the councilor, the listener, the bartender, and the manager. At times I was even the referee and a few times I had to give motherly advice. It was the place were I had to be what ever it was I needed to be at that time. It was my bar. It didn’t start out like that I will honestly say. After only a few months I was asked to take over and then it was mine. I lived only five blocks from my bar at the time. Each morning I would walk to work and I always thought of that time as just for me. I would always thin of my bar but it was my alone time so to speak.…

My own view of a utopian society is fairly simple, a place in which there is no pain, no crime, no anger, no corruption, where there is no need for "justice", a place where murders would never take place. The government would be a public government, in which all citizens would take actions they make would be fair not ingnerent like our govement. Women and men would have equal writes and shar opinons. If a war would start in my utopian nations and friends and answer 'stop this is a place of love'.But in society today this would never happen. than society would answer the call to war and fight to protect their homes. Also i would try protecting my nation, governments, to help protect/uphold laws and to rebuild the economy. Every person would be perfect have a home, good education and health, and grow up in the safety of a caring family. In nature they would be no killing, food would be grown and not effecct the food chain and we would eat speacly bread animals.…

Surrounded by trees there is a large field that is coated like fresh paint with red, orange, and yellow flowers. These colors vibrantly burn throughout the year. Everyone has their own spot that they are fond of. This fiery field is my favorite place to be. It’s the one place in this land where I feel like I can be myself. There is nothing that can stop me from being happy while I lay in the bed of sweet flowery aromas that engulf my body. As I lie in this field deeply slumbering my mind wanders around thinking about how happy this land is.…

Whenever I have a stressful day and my head is full of thoughts and problems, I tend to think of my happiest place and most peaceful moment to remain calm and get the bad things out of my mind. They are not imaginary because I have actually been at that place and lived that one moment. It was the summer of 2011 and I was visiting my cousins in Switzerland. This one particular day, I woke up and I realized I was home alone so I made a cup of coffee and enjoyed dipping cookies in it while looking at the beautiful nature through the window. They had a cute old styled house that I absolutely loved, in the most picturesque place I have ever been. While looking outside I noticed there was a swing suspended from a tree by robes. I immediately ran to the swing and took my sandals off to feel the grass. It felt like a high quality carpet tickling my feet with its delicacy while I was stepping over it. I have never seen grass greener than that in my entire life. I was swinging and flashing through the air with my eyes closed knowing this is the most peaceful moment I had in a long time. It was only me and the nature. I could hear the water flowing down its stream as background music to the birds’ song and all this as a feast of nature under the sky that was light blue with white clouds that looked like cotton candy. I had a genuine smile while living this and I get one every time I rethink it. The emotions I had are still as strong to distract me from the daily problems that I might be going through.…
