My Education
For roughly eight years of my life I was classified under having a Individualized Education Program (IEP). From third grade, all the way up to the end of my junior year I had been followed from class to class, Helped by a teacher from class to class, and even made to do more work sometimes. Now don’t misunderstand what i’m saying, having an IEP isn't a bad thing. The IEP is in place for students to succeed such like myself. But finally being able to control my own direction of my education was one of the best feelings and accomplishments i've ever had. So what is the Individual Education Program? Undersood.com says “The IEP is meant to address each child’s unique learning issues and include specific educational goals.

This test involves many different sections and many hours of work. I decided to see where i stood the end of my junior year. During the long week of testing i focused, i gave every ounce of energy to focus and make the most out of this testing that i could. I remember one test where i seemed like i had done really well on, it was a questions that had to do with numbers. The lady instructing the course read off a list of numbers, then i would repeat them to her. These numbers started small maybe two or three digits. Then started to increase each round. By the last round i had to repeat up to eight digits. This surprisingly came the most easy to me and set me where i wanted to go in life. After realizing i liked working with numbers, but not only liked but i was good i have thought deeply into becoming an accountant. During the long week of testing for this i focused, i gave every ounce of energy to focus and get the most out of this testing that i could.
As that long week came to a close i remember the exact date that i had the meeting, May 18th 2016 was the day. It was sunny thursday afternoon around one thirty in the streeter conference room It was the day the I had been notified that i had done well enough in my testing that I wouldn’t be on an IEP or and other education plan. This may be one of the best academic accomplishment i have received. The feeling so surreal, and amazing. I knew i could direct where

The majority of the time spent in any problem was figuring out what was being asked and that was the skill most of us struggled to develop. In those stressful moments on tests or any work in general it helped me realize that I had a weakness when it came to comprehension and problem solving skills while at the same time reassuring myself of my strength in math since other individuals would also struggle in that area even after figuring out the problem. However, it wasn't far from impossible and in fact those skills learned in problem solving and comprehension helped create the highlight of my junior year in terms of projects done. In the recent weeks after the AP tests were conducted in my Chemistry class we conducted a lab experiment in which using our own chemicals, materials, and designs conducted an experiment in an attempt to created an explosion. The reason being that this project was my favorite is because my groups was the only successful one to have worked using my…

All my life I have searched for outdoor profession involving human remains and settlements that could satisfy my curiosity. Then, I met a person that is so dedicated to such a profession that I had no knowledge about. As to knowing her since I have been under her wing for two years, I could say that she is a very skillful person in the field of archaeology. Her name is Jolie Liston, from Texas, a 7th generation Texan. All her life since age 23, has been doing archaeology because she loved doing outside work. Now age 53 and has achieved her Ph.D. on this type of field (Liston2/7/13,Liston2/12/13). With the 2 years of work and training with her, I finally made a hard decision because I had two choices, be in the military or outdoor profession which I wanted. With all her lectures and teachings about archaeological dig and investigating past histories, my interest grew more and captured me right there. I would say that Jolie is nothing compared to others out there. There are great accomplishments that she accomplished in Palau before she left the island. All based on her discoveries on field were publicized and taught to the people, also helped with preserving some of the very old cultural sites. With the archaeology skill she possesses, I have been inspired to walk the same path and start out by going to higher education to pursue a future field goal.…

Before learning the methods from the computer tutorial, I was confused about certain test. Before, I would just go over my notes and past homework that I have done. Now I know to review old test. I used to stop on answers that I could not figure out and spend a lot of time just being frustrated. Now I know to skip those questions and move onto the next one and come back to them once my test is completed. I used to read some out of the textbook on the chapters covered on the test, but I found that I would study a lot of information not relevant to the test. Now I know to take a look at other test and see what kinds of questions were asked and see how I can apply the mistakes I made before to the test that I am about to…
