8-308 Narrative
Narrative: “My Last Birthday” I will never forget my last birthday. It was on February 2 2013, when I was going to be 13 years old. That day was very special and the best birthday that I have had, because there were many things that made my last birthday important for me.

That day I woke up at 6:00 am, because my parents sang me a special song and they gave me some presents, also my siblings and my parents gave me many hugs, then my cousin Diane arrived to my house and she gave me a box of chocolates and a CD of my favorite rapper, it was the most beautiful present and for this reason I was very happy that morning.

Well in the afternoon many of my friends called me and told me "CONGRATULATIONS! You are old, now you can go out, have fun and you can do many things that before you could not do". These words made me very happy, because now I could go out with my friends and I could arrive late to my house. But I was a little sad, because my best friend did not call me and I thought that she had forgotten my birthday.

After at 6:00 pm I was with my parents when I received a message, that was from my best friend Siani and she told me "I have a surprise for you, I want to know if you can come to my house", and I told her "of course, I thought that you had forgotten my birthday", and she said "Did you believe it?, How? If you know that you are my best friend and for this reason I want that you come to my house", I told her "yes, I will go, at what time? And she told me "at 8:00 pm I will pick you up, see you!, and I said "ok bye".

At night Siani picked me up, and then when we arrived to her house, she opened the door, and all my friends were inside with many flowers and balloons, all my friends gave me a big hug and they sung my favorite song. Finally, we ate cake, partied, and we really enjoyed it.

For these reasons I will always remember that day as the best birthday of my life and it has been the

It was the day I came into this world, even though I was pretty early, and one of the most special birthdays to my parents as well. It’s a day that is more likely than not all about me and I usually end up getting some gifts. Some people see birthdays as a sign of getting old, but I like seeing them as a milestone of another year of living and another chapter in my life and that is the way I would like to continue to see it in that way.…

It was step-up day, and we were playing games on the field with the fourth/soon to be fifth graders. I saw my dad walking towards the field, and I knew it was time to get ready. I said goodbye to my friends and they wished me good luck. I was really excited to see my family coming in for the evening shabbat services. We headed up to the temple, and take some pictures with my grandparents and cousins. I greeted an endless amount of relatives, family friends, and people I have never met before. The service was beautiful, and the wine (grape juice for me) and challah were passed out. Dinner was served in an adjacent building where we visited with relatives from all over the country. First cousins, second cousins, third cousins twice removed, you name it. Uncles, aunts, great uncles and aunts and of course my grandparents all join us for a delicious dinner. We all talked and caught up, and it made me more comfortable to see that my family was there to support me, and I was excited for…

My birthday is November 11, but since it wasn’t a Saturday on that day, I set the date to November 22, 2008. My mom had surgery on September; we had already decided I wasn’t going to have a quince. I was devastated when my mom told me, I felt like my dream of feeling like a total princess had been crushed into pieces, but I understood where my mom was coming from. I felt like my mom later in the month felt bad and she changed her mind. I was going to have a quince. October was a stressful month for me and my friends. I had so much planning to do, having to order the dress for my damas and tuxedos for my chambelanes, decorations, local place, cake, DJ, limo, photographer, and lastly my dress. Every day my friends came after school to practice for the surprise dance. Somehow we manage to get everything done before November 22, 2008.…

We were pushing a field in the middle of the day and we saw it. I was so delighted after I shot it and so was all of my family. It really wasn't about the buck though it did coach me a few lesson. I sat in that stand for four mornings and four nights and I wasn't seeing anything and I really was getting agitated but my dad said stick with it. My uncle said he saw the deer when he was harvesting and couldn't believe how enoumorus it actually was. So I did just what my father had told me.…

Once, seemingly to my mind long ago, for truly it was nearly eleven years ago now, I reminisce of how simplistic everything was surrounding my birthday. There were no hassles of trying to compare schedules with my friends and select a time when every person could be together. There was no bother of having to clean my room and spend hours on the phone negotiating with families of friends or any other of the hassles that surround me now.…

It was my birthday. I was presented many colourful and expensive gifts. But my best friend did not give me a gift like that. She gave me a small blue box and said that: “This is my special gift for you. I hope you will like it.” I was very curious about what was in the box. I opened it. It was a scarf! But it was not colourful, it was blue and white which were my favourite colours. It was not a normal scarf which was bought from the shop but it was made by my friend. She bought many balls of wool and learned how to knit. She tried her best to make a special gift for me. I knew that she had had much ado and time to finish kniting the scarf . Although it was not beautiful, I was happy and promise her treasure it. However, it was also the last gift from my best friend. Two months later, she had to move to another country with her family. I was very upset when I knew that.…
