Features in Akruti Marathi Multifont Engine
(For Marathi Software Tools MCIT - Date 09-01-2007)
The Akruti Marathi Multifont Engine has the facility to install in any directory.
This has low memory requirement. The space needed is about 8 MB.
Installation
1. Start the Computer.
2. Insert the Marathi Software Tools CD and run SETUP.EXE from the CD.
3. The Serial Number is AKMFENGINE (all capitals)
4. This will install the software to the computer in AKMARENG directory.
5. The main EXE file name is AKMAR.EXE
6. After the installation, the fonts will be copied to \ AKMARENG \TTF directory and the programs will be copied to \ AKMARENG directory.
Running the program
1. Start the PC.
2. Browse and select the folder \ AKMARENG
3. Choose the program AKMAR.EXE
4. Create a short cut for this on your desktop.
5. Use this short cut to start the engine.
The following Marathi fonts are available: Bilingual Fonts: AkrutiMar_BPriyaNormal AkrutiMar_BPriyaBold AkrutiMar_BYoginiNormal AkrutiMar_BYoginiBold AkrutiMar_BAkankshaNormal AkrutiMar_BAkankshaBold AkrutiMar_BAditiNormal AkrutiMar_BAditiBold AkrutiMar_BManoramaNormal AkrutiMar_BManoramaBold
Regular Fonts:

To type in Marathi in Bilingual fonts do the following :-
a. Start the Akruti Engine.
b. Choose the layout of your choice from the “Layout” menu.
c. Select from the “Font” Menu “Akruti Mar_B "
d. Start your application like MS Office, Pagemaker etc.
e. Press SCROLL LOCK key to turn it ON.
f. Choose a Font like AkrutMar_BYogini or any other font starting with AkrutiMar_B.
g. Start typing as per the layout.
To type in English, do the following :-
a. Press the SCROLL LOCK key ( OFF ).
