This summer was really one of my best. It was so exciting and I loved every single moment of it. I made a lot of new friends and it was really enjoyable spending time with my old friends and them too. I went to my favorite camp in the whole world, got to see my best friends from South Carolina and spent a lot of time at the river. I jumped off settles bridge for the first time in front of so many people and completely busted my butt, I had a 9x4 inch bruise on the back of my thigh but it was still so worth it because I had the courage to jump before all the boys that were on the bridge with me. They were all quite impressed and a little embarrassed. I got to spend a lot of time with my boyfriend at the pool in my backyard and the pool in his backyard and we always had tons of friends over. It was a really busy summer, so I’ll tell you about some of my most memorable moments.
Camp Glisson is always one of my favorite weeks of summer, I kind of get to get away from it all. No phones, no internet, no iPods or distractions; just me, my living group, two amazing counselors and so many memories. It really is an amazing time for me to get closer to God and let loose. I get so close to my counselors and living group and even though it’s a week with no contact with anyone I know back home, I absolutely hate leaving it. This year was such a crazy year at camp, I went week nine and had a boy/girl living group and they were all so funny and sweet. At campout there were these terrifying screams at about 1 in the morning and everyone was freaking out but it turned out to be a fox that sounded just like a girl screaming, we were all so freaked out for no reason. We did the funnest activities and chapel was amazing each morning and night. And as always, when the end of the week came, I hated the fact that I had to leave.
Another fun thing I did this summer was go to my beach with my best friends in the whole world. My dad went to Clemson and is still
