My Life in Five Years
My Life in Five Years Salvador Dali once said: “Do not fear perfection, you will never achieve it.” Of course, I don’t expect to find perfection during the next five years, but I do imagine a positive and brilliant future life. I am self-confident, composed, self-controlled, cheerful and full of energy, and even humble. I don’t waste time; I can define a goal and know how to reach it, and I never leave things half done. While I don’t claim to be able to predict where I will end up, there are a few things that I know for certain that I want to accomplish: I would like to improve my education and therefore career opportunities, where I can help solve other people’s problems, explore new places and meet new friends, and finally, build the house of my dreams and find someone in my life to share all that with. The family is the foundation of human society and my number one priority. It is very important that a man’s family provides understanding and gives him moral support. Before any professional or financial success, a man must achieve family success—only then can he achieve something in his life. Therefore, I would be most grateful if I found someone to share my life with and start a family. The experience and pleasure that travel provides is a very important thing for any person. In my opinion, traveling is a source of emotional and personal inspiration; therefore, I will visit such countries as USA, Canada, France, Italy and others. Traveling will help me make new friends around the world and be able to get out and about the people from diverse background, which I'm certain will enrich my own life, to be sure, but also the lives of those to whom I come in contact. Last but not least is my education and career. I have asked myself many times what I wanted to be. A few years ago it was difficult to give a definite answer. I had changed my mind several times. During this past year I finally discovered what it was that I most wanted to pursue. I

According to Aesop " Adventure is worthwhile", and traveling is one of the best adventures that people can experience in life. Also, by going to places that you've never been open up your mind to new things, new people, and you learn from it as much as you can. In my case, I'm fortunate to have been able to visit different cities all over the world, but only two of them have completely captivated me, San Francisco, California and Miami, Florida. Even though these two cities are located in the same country, both have many differences such as in the public transportation, food-population, and lifestyle.…

Paul Fussell once said, “All the pathos and irony of leaving one’s youth behind is thus implicit in every joyous moment of travel: one knows that the first joy can never be recovered, and the wise traveler learns not to repeat successes, but tries new places all the time.” Going around the world would be a fascinating goal for the future. Meeting new people and getting to grasp what the world is like . Traveling would be interesting to do in the future because first I can challenging myself, second the adventures, and third to appreciate life.…

A half-century ago, the concept of family was entirely different than what it is modeled as today. The typical family was generally working or middle class, and it consisted of a husband who worked to support the family, and a wife who stayed home to tend to the house and children. The structure of the traditional family along with the general nature of society, have since changed however. No longer does the word “family” have a universal application in society.…

I have always had a knack for traveling. Since a young age I have found comfort in going to places I have never been. Embracing the culture and questioning why things are done a certain way and exploring the incredible world that I am surrounded by. It brings me peace just being somewhere I have never been. I think it is important to be put in situations that you might not be familiar with and learn how to adapt, how to survive on your own. It’s important to go to unfamiliar places and meet unfamiliar people.…

Though this period of twenty years is negligibly small on the evolutionary time scale, it is, when considered in terms of man's span of life, a considerably long period. Jake and I live in a big old house in the High Park neighborhood of Toronto. He is the VP of Productivity Gamification for Google and I am the Senior Vice President of Online for the Hudson’s Bay Company. I am happy, active, inspired, and challenged daily. Work is exciting, intense, and full of passion and integrity. I leverage my strengths of creating something out of nothing, and find new and innovative way of growing my company’s business. My work and my life blur together effortlessly. I feel endlessly confident, calm, and energized. Our house in High Park is full of art, books, food, wine and love. It has five bedrooms and was built in the late 1800s. From the third floor patio you get an incredible view of the city and the water. Every morning Jake makes me coffee after my Moksha class and we sit on the deck and soak up the sun or the snow. Weekends are spent with family and friends – eating brunch, going on adventurous city walks and hosting lively dinner parties. We share a cottage in Georgian Bay with friends, and we escape there every chance we get. I practice hot yoga each morning at my local studio and Jake and I explore the city on our walks in the evening. We have fresh local veggies delivered to our door twice per week, and cook dinner or brunch with friends on the weekend. I lead a life I love and I inspire others around me to create lives full of possibility, happiness, and contribution.…
