I am very grateful to attend a Catholic School, and most importantly Mary Queen of Peace. In the past nine years, I have learned numerous things about my faith, knowledge, and service. One of the most important ways I live out my faith at MQP is by attending Mass once a week with my class, and frequently being a part of the Mass by alter serving. For me, stewardship has been one of the highlights over the past years. It began in Second Grade where we focused on the elderly. In Third Grade, we had a speaker come talk to us about what it is like to be homeless. In Fourth Grade, we did an activity that helped us realize what it would be like to be disabled. The military was our main focus in Fifth Grade, and many veterans came to inform us about the military. I will never forget when we went to the St. Patrick Center in Sixth Grade and saw the faces of homeless people right in our own city. It felt so good knowing that we helped so many babies in Seventh Grade by holding a newborn clothing drive. Finally, this year, I went to Join Hands East St. Louis where I helped organize sheets to give out to the less fortunate. Service at MQP has made me so grateful for how fortunate I am. MQP has made me stronger in my academics and my faith. I will always remember what Mary Queen of Peace has taught
