My Migration To The United States

In July 18, 1991 my family and I came to the beautiful land of many opportunities, the United States of America for a better life and future. It was a dreams come through .When we first came to America, we were so amazed by the beauty, and richness of the land. However, right away, we recognized that American culture is different from where we originally came from. It didn’t take time for us to notice the culture. Our first destination was, at Richmond Virginia. In Virginia, the weather was so hot, it felt like my skin was on fire. It was so humid, I felt the heaviness of the air, and it smelled like burned rubber. Then, February 28, 1992, my family and I moved to the Evergreen State, Seattle, Washington. We move because a friend informed us
the weather in Seattle is similar to Ethiopia. It was too hot and too cold for us to live in Virginia. We took bus from Richmond Virginia to Seattle, Washington. It was a long trip, but full of many experiences. Our trip to Seattle, took ninety eight hours, twelve drivers and eight buss for us get here. It was a great opportunity for use to visit many places that we probably would never get a chance to see. It was fun.
