I sat at stone table to do my homework because I forgot to take my keys. After finished my homework, desktop instant hit on the down pressure on my right foot. I let out a cry of pain and pulled back my foot. I endure pain and take my shoes and socks. See the bleeding feet and I called your back. In a short moment you came to my side, breathless with running and asked me what was wrong. I told you everything. You took me to the hospital, where doctors found she had broken a bone in my feet. Because in time to the hospital not to delay the disease. I will need time my health.

My mother work is so intense that her even have no time to take a rest. I remember on one it's raining hard outside after a long time. I just saw the familiar figure, my mother not open the umbrella. I look you clothes are all wet. I jump out of the classroom with my single leg. You didn't say a word, just handed me an umbrella. Sitting in the bus, what I can do is just lean on you.
When we live on sixth floor, you carry me up every time. Every time when I fell on your weak back, I always worry about you will fall. Listen to the heavy footsteps, that more and more thick whoop, my tears came down. As the saying goes, "have a fracture one hundred days", so, this had been going for three months! Mom, let me say love to you.

In the hospital room, before she slipped into a coma, she spoke to each of us. Not sure what she said to my brother, and I’m sure she told my sister to take care of me (Geesh, Mom, I’m not a kid anymore). When I stood by her bedside, her face and body frail, she took my hand. It took me years to realize, that what she said to me in the moment, was wrong.…

I have read excerpts from two texts. An informational text titled ‘The Sea Around Us’ by Rachel Carson, and a literature text titled ‘Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea’, by Jules Verne. In both excerpts there are many descriptions of the ocean. Many people debate whether details are described more vividly in informational text, or in literature. I feel the ocean was described more vividly in the excerpt from the literature text ‘Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea’.…

My mother came in and said, “Let me see what you’re working on.” I looked up at her inquisitive face. Her flowing black hair framed the most beautiful dark eyes. She wanted to see how I was doing with my writing. I showed her the few letters I had formed. She looked over each one admiringly and said she was so proud. She was always saying that.…

Two weeks had passed, when one evening during a rare casual conversation with my mother I offhandedly likened my life with hers. I proudly and naively referenced a small detail of the conversation Rita and I had. The look on my mother’s face must have been many emotional reactions all at once. When next she spoke, I recognized anger and incredulity.…

Suddenly, I woke to the sound of pain and stress. In the dimmed hotel room, my mother was laid roughly on the bed motioning that she didn’t feel well. We had traveled the far and exciting journey to Las Vegas to witness my mom finish a half marathon. It was an event that she had spent minutes, hours, days, and months training for. I couldn’t believe that after all of the work my mom had done in the past year, she wouldn’t be able to compete on the big day. I was wrong though when my mom sat up, tidied her tangled hair and nonchalantly said, “let’s do this”.…

I closed my eyes and as I opened them I was looking straight at my mother. That instant our eyes were locked I never wanted the lock to break. Another tear slipped down, and I could taste the salty warmth on my tongue. The crash took five seconds but it felt like ten years. This time I heard the words “I’m wrong mom. I’m sorry mom.” In an instant the noise grew so loud it seemed like I was standing in the middle of a nuclear bomb. Not a second later it was silent and the world around me went pitch…

So as I walk towards my mother’s room, all of these questions and thoughts create a tornado making me feel like throwing up. But I will do this. I will ask her and she will tell me. I sit on her bed and wait for her to talk. “Something you need?” she asks. I want to get up and leave now but I still want my answer. “I want to know why you don’t talk about my father and why I can’t see him, it’s been how many years and I still don’t know, and I think you shouldn’t keep this from me” She got up, went to her vanity drawer, and pulled out an envelope. She handed it to me and stood there waiting for me to open it up. I read the note, and walked out and sat in my room. That’s it. That’s all I need to know.…

“Why do my feet hurt so much?” I asked confusingly. I didn’t know where I was, but I soon realized I was in a hospital room. It was white and small. I saw an IV in me. It wasn’t very convenient money wise, because the surgery ended up costing over $14,000, but my insurance ended up paying for it. My parents only had to pay $2,000.…
