According to Christianity, One of the Ten Commandment is- “Love thy neighbor as thy self”.
This means God wants us to love and respect our neighbors as we would love our own family members.
Neighbors are a true blessing. It can be said more precisely that neighbors are a true blessing in disguise, its true at least in my case.
My neighbor Mr. Ronald Saldanha is a through gentleman in every aspect. In fact, he and is lovely family are a perfect example of national integration as well as a cosmopolitan family.
Mr. Ronald Saldanha as the name suggests is a 70 year old Roman Catholic and his wife is Mrs. Kalima Saldanha a 69 year old Muslim lady. They have two children, a daughter and a son.
Mr. Saldanha used to be a taxi driver and Mrs. Saldanha has always been a very good housewife. Their love marriage in the 70’s has been a talk of the neighborhood as they were one of the most beautiful looking couple ever. They started their happy married life with the love and blessing of their elders and well- wishers and have still maintained a very good relation with either of their relatives and their entire neighborhood. They brought up their children with very good values and inculcated strong moral characters in them.
Their children too are married. The daughter is a teacher and married to a Maharashtrian software professional. Whereas the son is an engineer and is married to a Sindhi girl associated with the field of Human resource management. As their professions suggest they are all well-educated and very much in touch with the modern world but they are all very simple and modest in their way of living. Mr. Saldanha’s family sets such a beautiful example as all the family members celebrate all the festivals with equal valor and enthusiasm. Their way of living life in such a sweet and simple way is a motivation to all in the neighborhood and everyone respects this family.
