It was my pleasure to do so because I was not busy at the time. A week or so after this took place I was approached by the manager in the ED of the hospital. She wanted to thank me for being a team player and helping in the ED. I was somewhat confused because my thought was this was what we were supposed to do, help each other. Very soon after that I was approached by one of the hospital directors with the proposal of a new position. It was for a new team being formed that would supply nurses to floors in need. Benefitted Expert Staffing Team or B.E.S.T. team as we are called. I now have experience on almost every floor of the hospital as I have been in this position for almost five years now. This enables me to serve and care for even more people and allows me to make connections with many more staff throughout the hospital. Helping people has always been my passion and I have a real love for the elderly. I truly believe that nursing is my calling.
