My Passion Project Poetry Response
This two poems both summarize one’s passion that they may have for a sport. I know this because the first poem states “skill and heart and desire to win aren't things that you can fake.”And the second poem, “Medals, Numbers, and Jerseys” states, “It's all in the strength of your dream.”These two poems talk about passion, my passion.
Meanwhile these two poems are alike because they both discuss passion for a sport, they also contrast in many ways.For example, the first poem is about volleyball; the second poem is talking about sports in general. I know this because the first poem says, “set it up to spike it down dig it, then repeat blockers up and coverage close…it's this sport that you should try we call it volleyball .” The actions this poem is talking about are used in volleyball, indicating the sport the talking about volleyball.Also it literally says the word volleyball at the end of the poem affirming that the poem is in fact talking about volleyball.
