As an innovative generation, we have a social and academic obligation to seek and understand culture. As a future physician, my craft will require a social understanding of patients and their needs. I will not be serving a particular type of person as the human race as a whole is equally affected by disease and harm.
I seek to understand and appreciate variety; hence I am taking a sociology course in the fall about Race and Ethnicity. The topic of diversity is one I highly regard.
