Through this process the child absorbs impression from the environment unconsciously and applied in their life. A group of children approximately the same age appear to be remarkable similar in size, shape and abilities. With closer observation, however it reveals a wider range of individual differences. Both similarities and differences depend on a child’s unique pattern of growth and development. In Montessori view the absorbent mind is constantly acquiring the substance of whatever will be learned by the children. “The child's development follows a path of successive stages of independence, and our knowledge of this must guide us in our behavior towards him.
