Narrative Essay My Summer Vacation
My summer started on the day I graduated. At first it was a little sad to me because it had meant that my high school years were over and I wouldn’t be able to see all my friends as much anymore. I soon figured out that it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Yes it meant that I wouldn’t be seeing my friends as much anymore but I turned 18 six days after graduation.
I had more freedom than I knew what to do with. For the first month of summer I swam, went fishing, cruised around, hung out with my friends, and just relaxed. Towards the middle of June
I got bored and wanted to go on vacation so I called my grandmother. I talked to her for a little while and explained to her that I wanted to come down for a month and visit. She had no objection to it and told me I had to ask my father first. I told her that wouldn’t be a problem and called him immediately, he said yes with no hesitation. I was ecstatic, this would be the best graduation present ever. So me and my father booked a flight online for me to leave July ninth and to be back August seventh. I had two weeks to get everything ready to go down to
Florida. Those two weeks went by extremely fast and then I was on my way. It is hard to describe the rush of excitement I felt when getting on that plane because I knew that in two hours
I would finally be back in my home state. Shortly after getting off the plane in West Palm
Beach International Airport my grandparents arrived. They picked me up and greeted me with warm smiles and kind words as we don’t get to see each other as much as we use to and as much as we would like to.
