My Third Eye
My Third Eye
By: Unicorn
Summary
It’s a story of a young lady, experiencing different kinds of paranormal activity. She started to feel the spirits when she was 5 or 6 years old. She is now 23 years old, and until now she hasn’t talked to someone like her. She even read some books, but she can’t get all the answers to the questions she have. Questions like: does she really have a third eye?, why she can hear, see or feel them?, or if she is normal or abnormal?.
She has a lot of experience with the spirits, which made her sick for several weeks and the way for her to get better is with the help of the albularyo.
She also had experience of seeing dead people on her dream, who are seeking help for their death. She saw a family burned in old house, group of wounded soldiers, group of friends, apparitions, and even their ancestors who are talking to her on her dream. Some are thanking her and some are asking for prayers.
In her 23 years of existence she got used to it, but still she doesn’t know how to deal with them.

New Idea Learned:
I learned that even spirits / souls are frustrated. Frustration to remember them by their love once even they are gone, and frustration for their unfinished business here on earth and justice to those who died for nothing.
Significant Ideas/Phrase/Lines:
“”perhaps my purpose in life is to help give justice to souls who were the victims of injustice here on earth.”

Word/s in the text that I like to use in my own writing:
I wish I could relate to somebody who has the same experience so I could understand myself more.

Ideas that I can relate to my previous knowledge:
The reason we have to celebrate All Saints' Day. We make our dearly departed truly happy during this occasion. Lest us remember to light a candle and bring flowers to your loved ones as often as you can.

Ideas I want to learn more about:
Paranormal activity, how to deal with the spirits, how to get used to it if you have a third eye, and how can

To clarify what's out there to be investigated, Southall begins the handbook in earnest by defining the terms, since ghosts, spirits and poltergeists are not interchangeable and represent quite different phenomena.Ghosts and apparitions are a kind a recording on the environment - a residual energy that can come from a person, animal or even an inanimate object. We can experience these lingering energies by sight, sound, smell and touch. Spirits are what people most often think of as "ghosts." A spirit is the "actual sentient presence, or soul, of an individual or individuals who have remained in the material world after his or her physical body has died." Southall continues by describing different types of spirits and the reasons they may have stayed behind.…

From Siberia where the term ‘shaman’ is found. Types of shamanism occur in North and South America, among the Aborigines of Australia, in South-East Asia, Indonesia, China, Tibet, and Japan. (Drury; 1989; p 11). The TCD’s of ritual and induced ASC are important. Ritual consists of symbols, dance, dress, incantations etc. These rituals have a number of roles. The ritual is usually shrouded in mystery or secrecy giving the shaman respect and authority within his or her society. Hidden knowledge is the basic meaning of the word occult. A ritualistic routine is important but not essential . The role of an ASC as an occult practice need not be part of ritual. ASC’s do not require the presence of a shaman. These types of ASC’s in and of themselves are an occult practice. We will briefly explore the role that ASC’s play in shamanistic, Occultic rituals and practices Michael Harner PH.D writes, One of the most typical aspects of the shamanistic experience is the change to another state of consciousness, often called a trance. (Michael J Harner; 1973; p xii). Hypnosis has had many claims made about it. In spite of much scientific research, no one yet knows what hypnosis is or how it works; (Bobgan; 1984; p 9) With regard to the possible onset of False Memory Syndrome associated with Hypnosis, who or what is the origin of such memories? Evidence suggests that false memories can…

I found the connection between dreams and ancient religions to be the most intriguing part of the reading. It certainly does make sense that dreams might have inspired animism and other forms of religion and the way that the ancients interacted with dreams seems to share many similarities with how we interact with dreams. Similar to what happens in a Seneca Dream Guessing ceremony, people today analyze their dreams and interpret them in various ways, although it is not always in a spiritual light and there are many more resources now besides for friends, family, and other tribe members to offer ideas of what dreams might mean. Additionally, just as people in ancient times might have interpreted their dreams according to their religion, considering dreams to be visions or proof of possession by some higher power, people today may do the exact same thing. Considering how odd dreams can seem and how we still don’t seem to have much knowledge on their causes today, this comes across as unsurprising.…

After reviewing the various theories of social scientists presented in this chapter, the theory I agree with the most, is Sigmund Freud’s as well as the Inuit. Sigmund Freud believes that dreams contain clues to thoughts dreamer’s are afraid to acknowledge in their waking hours. This being said, the Inuit believe that these dreams contain hidden messages and that people enter a spiritual world where they interact with people who have passed away. Basing this on personal experience, my aunt’s boyfriend of many years dreamt about his nephew Michael Menjivar after he was fatally shot in 2014. I knew Michael well, and my aunt’s boyfriend’s family always speak about Michael’s little sister Alicia, who claims she sees Michael in her dreams and…
