I felt that this photograph had the most interesting details that I could analysis so I could come up with a good thesis statement. I knew that the more details that I could find the easier the paper would be to write. To recreate the photograph there are a lot of details that I would need to include in order for the reader to really visualize what is going on in the photograph and by using the 10 on 1 method you find a different meaning to the detail.…
The second image “Oak Tree, Snowstorm” it focuses on only one tree although all the others are also clearly visible. By having the main tree of focus almost fit the frame perfectly with the exception of the cut of extra leaves on the right makes your eyes completing ignore the other trees during the first few seconds until your eyes notice the other trees. Finally, one of my personal favorites examples of the marvelous use of the composition is “Bridalveil Fall.” It has a perfectly balanced dark foreground of trees and bushes in the right corner extending to the bottom and right side of the photo. The foreground acts as a professional custom made frame for the rest of the photo.…
I chose the first image of marlin Monroe and the girl suffering from anorexia because of the huge controversy between the two. The use of these two images by each other are very well…

The slender story line depicts a young girl moving through a sequence of striking landscapes. The accompanying text is deliberately spare. The text often serves as a caption for the colour saturated pictures. In essence, each picture conveys a visual representation of an overwhelmingly, at times, depressed mood.…
While all of the different skills that was discussed earlier would help me in my dream career, however there is a unique skill that will benefit more than the other is revision. Being a photographer the power of revision may be one of the most important skill. The photographer will need to constantly review their piece of work and try to improve on what that was wrong, if they do not revise on what was wrong then they will not understand the meaning of success. Photographer will need to know why they are doing the same mistakes over and over again so they can avoid it, especially when turning the final product. With the revision the photographer will be able to continue to learn what is needed to be done to get the best result that they want,…
When I started the first grade, I was lucky enough to be placed in what was coined the tripod program. In this program were deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing students in the same class. I was in the program throughout my years in k-12. In elementary school all my teachers would Sim-com, and once I got to 6th grade we had interpreters. Being 7 years old when I started the program, I was able to sponge up the signs rather quickly.…
Photography has influenced my life in ways that are hard to explain. From the time I was born, photographs have surrounded me everywhere I look. With that being said, its hard to imagine life without to photographs; therefore I can eaily say that photography has influenced me. The tricky part of the question is answering in which ways has photography influenced my life. I would have to say that by being able to look at photographs everyday, I'm able to stay connected with others and with the world around me. Photographs allows me to capture a moment and have a better memory of a particular event.…
If I could continue to participate in any activity through my university years, I would choose to publications. The school yearbook was the most fun I ever had during my high school years. I enjoyed every part of the process of making the yearbook, from taking pictures to editing them, to interviewing my classmates to writing about them. Everything that I had to do was so enjoyable. The best part was leaving my mark on something lasting. In this age of technology, there is not much that lasts beyond the digital world, and flipping through a solid book, that I put work into creating, was enlightening for me. My time on the yearbook staff seems fleeting, and I wish that it could last I bit…
The Museum of Modern Art’s exhibition had a lot to offer educationally, and offered a lot of creative ideas. As a student it’s very easy to try and capture the most famous scenic image that we know for example, the Manhattan skyline, the Brooklyn Bridge, or images from Central Park. These artists featured in the Museum of Modern Art are exploring ideas that are much more personal to them. Personal ideas, feelings, and issues are coming up as a topic of discussion in photography, which hopefully can expand outward, beyond photography so that we don’t overlook and dismiss our own feelings and the feelings of the people around…
As I began this journey, I had no idea how many tears would be shed, Pepto Bismol would be consumed, or how many gray hairs would appear. A simple thank you does not seem sufficient enough to express how I feel for the people who have come into my life to share this arduous journey.…
Ayo mugshot, gun shot, dope shot, jump shot. Take your pick, but you only get one shot. Advice from a schoolteacher to a young tot. Applyin' a sticker to his Spiderman lunchbox. When even role models tell us we're born to be felons. We're never gettin' into Harvard or Carnegie Mellon. And we gon' end up either robbin' somebody or killin'. It's not fair that's all they can tell us. That's why I hustle hella hard, never celebrate a holiday. That'll be the day I coulda finally hit the lottery. I refuse to ever lose or throw my shot away. Or chalk it up as just another one that got away. So I'm unapologetic, I'm on my calesthenics. If I ahve given it all I got I cannot regret it. My point of destination's different from where I was headed. 'Cause I'ma shoot for the starts to get it. One shot.…
I am a communicator because everyday single day I ask questions and talk to people. Mostly questions to teachers because sometimes I don’t get it, but sometimes my friends because they might be confusing. One of my goals is to not wait until the last minute to do all my homework because sometimes there are a lot and I won’t be able to finish it in time unless I stay up extremely late. In order to avoid doing that, I will always ask my siblings or parents to keep reminding me to do my homework until it’s no longer a habit. My other goal is to be a better thinker because sometimes the best way to understand the question is to think deeply. My third goal relates to my first one and that is to always do my homework. Most of the time I’m very lazy and I don’t want to get out of bed just to do homework so I just leave it there. I will begin changing that goal by telling my brother, my sister, my mom, or my dad to keep…
Floria has used many features of visual language which is very appealing to the human eye. In this photograph she has directed into a gothic meaning, with black hail, eyebrows, and clothing, with a touch of red as a highlight. She has used false fingernails which appeals to the audience as her fingernails now fit fight around the cat which adds great positioning to the…
