My Work Ethic
I consider myself an extremely hard worker. I frequently have eighteen-hour days between work and school. I leave at 6:45AM, go to work till 4:00PM head straight to school till 11:15Pm and get home around midnight. This schedule has become my norm in the recent months and it has challenged my work ethic, but I enjoy it. I would much rather be slammed busy than staying home and not being productive. I am a person of faith and I have a strong sense of honesty and integrity. My parents have always instilled Christian values within me and honor and integrity go far to stand out in this world. So many of the students around me ask the upperclassman for answers to quizzes and tests in the school I attend. I neglect to give them my answers after I have put my hands to the …show more content…
I am not a quitter. I consider myself a very determined goal oriented individual. I am the type of person when things do not go as planned and failure I pick myself up, and figure out how to succeed the next time. Every failure in life is a learning curve. The good book says that a just man falls seven times and stands up again, if you are truly determined to do something or achieve something the first and only mindset is not giving up. Another valuable attribute I have is thoughtfulness. Consideration of others I important. I always try to treat others as the way I would like to be treated. My parents taught me this when I was very young. Whenever I find myself dealing with someone in almost any situation especially in a negative or stressful situation I think of the other person. I put myself in their shoes to see it from their perspective. I believe this is an important trait to have to succeed in completing your obligations and tasks. I always talk to myself and ask certain questions to reinforce the action I am about to

Employers value employees who understand and possess a willingness to work hard. In addition to working hard it is also important to work smart. This means learning the most efficient way to complete tasks and finding ways to save time while completing daily assignments. Doing more than is expected on the job is a good way to show that you have and know how to utilize good time management skills and don’t waste valuable time attending to personal issues not related to what is expected. Excuses are not accepted by anyone who expects something done a certain way, and the only way to make sure no excuses are made, is to do what is expected the right way, when expected. Doing so will not only prevent any totally avoidable consequences, but build a work ethic valued by teachers, professors, and employers everywhere. Compliance and the understanding that excuses are hardly ever tolerated will take someone much farther in life than always being late, lazy, and defiant.…

Communicating well with others is something I strive for, by stopping and taking the time to listen to what someone is going through and keeping an open mind to analyze different possibilities of most scenarios. While most situations do not have a quick fix, I can problem solve with patience and flexibility. Being strong-willed is an attribute that inspires me to work and make this world better than I found it. Enthusiasm, intelligence, and determination are all qualities I possess that will serve this profession well, and more importantly my clients and community. Courage, united with empathy is necessary to deal with tough issues and challenging situations that confront individuals and society.…

Integrity, respect, and a drive to make the world and people around you are essential parts as well. One of my favorite quotes is “Have the courage to say no. Have the courage to face the truth. Do the right thing because it is right. These are the magic keys to living your life with integrity.” - W. Clement Stone. I try to apply this quote to my life daily. Doing what is right, and facing things that scare you for the greater good are two things that I focus on. Respecting others is a silent way of showing value for others. By listening and encouraging others to share their thoughts, you honor their personal rights. Having a drive to make everything around you better is one of the most important qualities to me. I attempt to help the environment better by volunteering in trash cleanups, reducing my plastic use, and by being vegetarian. I help the people around me by sharing opportunities, explaining hard topics, and by supporting others in their endeavors. I make an effort to be the total student for myself, my peers, and my community. I should be considered for Minnesota Honor Society because I meet, and exceed the qualifications of a member. Thank you for this amazing…

Ever since I was a little girl I have been persistent in keeping up my grades. To the ordinary person, elementary school was a breeze and no big deal. While I didn’t find elementary school difficult, I was still incredibly meticulous about making sure that all my work was done well and turned in on time. Even in the third grade, missing school did not feel like an option to me. I remember that when my parents discovered that I had contracted head lice they informed me I would have to miss school while we treated it. Upon receiving this news, I sobbed. I wasn’t upset that I had head lice, I was upset that I would be missing important information while I was home taking care of the problem.…

Leadership is the action of leading a group of people or organization. Initially, the quality of leadership did not seem to be an important attribute to possess when I compared it to a strong work ethic, good character, or being selfless. In reality, being a leader is not a separate attribute, but rather a combination of work ethic, character, and selflessness because these smaller characteristics are what I believe creates a quality leader. These leadership skills can positively influence the performance of my sports teams, influence my community profoundly, and overall drive me in my attempt to make the world a better place. Work ethic, the principle that hard work is intrinsically virtuous or worthy of reward.…

The attributes I posse are Leadership, willingness to take risk and special abilities. These can be proven because when I was eight and I was visiting my cousin’s house, he had friends over and they were building a replica of the Twin Towers. The only thing was it was being made out of popsicles and way tinier then the real thing. They were almost done building it when it collapsed. They all got mad and decided to try again, as they were building it they made the same mistake, then I didn’t want to make them even more mad so I squeezed into the group and took down 20 sticks. My cousin got mad that I took it down, I told him that it would have fallen down again if I didn’t take those sticks down. They understood and said sit over there, pointing to a chair next to him and to point out when they should take down some sticks. This for me was a huge risk for me because my cousin and his friends aren’t the soft guys there tough, he probably would’ve yelled at me more than enough after they left.…
