What if we didn't have literature in life? Would we have conflict? Would we have narration? These are all connected through our point of view in life, how we really see things. Point of view helps develop characterization. Our conflict is based on how we see things.

In my book “ My Worst Best Friend “ by Dyan Sheldon, Sheldon uses direct characterization to develop the characters Gracie and Savanna. Savanna says “ I hate school Gracie, social life is more important. “ Which shows that Savanna thinks social life is more important. And school doesn't really fit Savanna like it does for Gracie. How Sheldon reveals her actions and words helps develop Savannas point of view. And sense Savanna doesn't like school, it affects how hard she works in school. In the story Rainsford experiences man vs. man conflict with General Zaroff. General Zaroff is a hunter who plays a “ game “ by hunting, and plays against Rainsford. In the story the author uses man vs. society . The society that Rainsford is against is all the dangerous animals and people who think hunting is a game.
