My Writing Challenge Essay

Hello, I am writing my essay about the greatest writing challenge of my life that I had to face as a senior in high school. I learned through this experience the importance of being able to write a research paper and also how to deal with learning obstacles. Before this experience I thought I was an excellent writer, but afterwards I realized that we all have to overcome the challenges of learning to read and write at certain times in our lives. When I first started on my journey of writing my research paper for my senior project I was nervous and unsure of my writing abilities, but I was determined to achieve success. I gathered the information that was available from many websites and a few books. At this point I felt confident in my ability to research any topic with the available resources, and after two weeks of writing facts on flash cards I wrote my outline which was not a challenge. For me it seemed that as I progressed things became easier. Then shortly after I started writing my research paper and using the outline I wrote and the information I collected to write my paper. The following week I turned in my rough draft and my paper had tons of errors in it but luckily for me they were minor grammatical and punctuation error and after correcting them I was ready to turn in my research paper. While writing my paper I realized that I wasn’t a crummy writer but my problems I faced in my learning experience came from a lack of confidence in myself. When I got my paper back after the teacher graded it she told me that I was an excellent writer and I should believe in myself more, and as a added bonus I received an “A” on my research paper.
