A process or technique in writing is vital to become successful I believe. Before having a useful writing process my essays always came out choppy and meaningless. Having a writing process of your own is beneficial in many ways because it allows your mind to become free and to write clearly. To begin, the first step to my writing process is strategy. I get assigned my assignment and become aware and familiar with the material. Before I start writing I sit and think of different ways I can get my point across throughout my essay. Simple yet detailed is how I like to design my essay format. After I am done …show more content…
Throughout my writing process staying inspired with my topic can be tricky once in a while. If I am struggling I will research or just try and find something that interests me with the topic I am writing on. Staying interested in your writing is a staple in my writing process. Next, trust is also huge in my writing process. I have to trust myself that I know how to write an essay and most of all I have to trust my writing process. There are essays that may require no research so I have to trust my writing process and my own thoughts to complete the essay. Finally, time is probably the most important in my writing process. I have to make sure I give myself plenty of time to write and overthink my essay. It is not a very smart choice to start an essay the day it is due. I unfortunately used to do that often until I discovered my new writing process which takes time to form. Trust, interests, and time are very important throughout my writing

learned that to write an effective Essay you should first drift the topic of your essay for example make a diagram of the topic or issues you are going to talk about in your Essay. The topic should be in the middle and start to think about the subjects that are related to your topic, or subjects that will help you get your point across to your readers more affectively. I’ve also learned that by visualizing your story from the beginning to the end can help you to see the picture of what you want to talk about, what can be also helpful is while you visualizing your story you should write down as much information as possible in case you…

My high school my writing process was very alike to the process my classmates would practice. I would get my ideas from my life experience or classmates. A tool that really help me organized my thoughts was the web organizer with all the ideas I would brainstorm. I would let out my thoughts and would try to organize them the best way possible following the outline that I was going to utilize. I would ask my teachers and sisters, who have much more experience to proofread my rough draft. A problem I saw in my writing was my usage of words and my punctuation. As following the writing process it extended the essay a week more but it was well done. Problems that I would approach with, was organizing my writing in a form to make it clear. My strengths were the ideas and the details I would use in my writing.…

Writing, something that has never befriended me, will always be an obstacle in my life. For me, it’s difficult to just sit down at a table and write something interesting and creative. I try to do so every time I am assigned a essay, and sometimes it turns out to be successful, but most of the time it is unsuccessful. Every time I am given a written assignment, I go through the same routine: I sit at the table and stare at my computer with my fingers on the keyboard. I have noticed that I come up with a lot of ideas, but I focus mainly on how to structure them while writing. In three articles written by Anna Lomott, Marie Foley and Donald M. Murray, they all discuss different strategies on how to draft, structure and revise an essay. They all have taught me a better way on how to make my writing strategy more successful in college than it was before.…

My writing process has always been a frustrating one. I like writing, but I don't think I'm very good at it. When I was younger, I loved letting my creative side shine by writing silly stories and pretending I was Stephen King, using words that I didn't even understand. My dad read me Shel Silverstein's books of poems and and drawings. Those books inspired me so much to write and to draw and be creative on a blank sheet of paper.…

As a student coming fresh out of high school I am still used to writing as I have been taught since I was in middle school. We were taught to outline, make a first draft, have someone read that draft, revise and then hand in the final copy. This is a long and boring process that has not changed and is always so repetitive. We always had to write five paragraph papers about things that would never be relevant to my future. In this class I hope to change my approach and how I feel about writing.…
