NIEHS Should Be Supported Research
The NIEHS has a big part in improving our global environment health. $680,000,000 isn’t so much money, considering that they are trying to help make our environment much better. The NIEH should continue to be supported by the government. They should be supported because they try to prevent deaths, they make laws, and they do research on harmful effects. Therefore, the NIEHS should be supported because of all they do for us.

First of all, the NIEHS contributes to the study of deaths. They help prevent deaths which are caused by bad air quality. The text states,”The stoves produce smoke that cause 1.9 million deaths each year. Burning wood, coal or dung also adds to climate change by releasing greenhouse gases.” (Part 3 paragraph 2) 1.9 million deaths is a lot. Deaths can be prevented if people stop burning wood or coal. All in all, if they don’t stop burning these kinds of things our air quality will get worse and higher amounts of people will die.

They have laboratories which are used to help develop laws for having a better environment. The text concludes,” The information developed by the NIEHS laboratories and NIEHS- supported research laboratories around the country is then used by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to develop laws that help promote healthy environments.” (Part 1, paragraph 9) The NIEHS listen to concerns and they do research on how to solve the problems. This means that their top priority is to solve our environmental problems. To summarize, if laws aren’t developed people won’t take interest in helping the

I believe Naess had a strong point when he said: “As long as you have such a destructive people in our society, we need to have those environmentalists who will protect it and pass laws.” In government, we have lobbyists, governors, and important state and national officials who can make a difference. He is stating we need those governmental influences to pass laws on environmental rights. If these people did not exist, our environment would be in ruins today because people would continue to exploit and abuse of…

I believe that the U.S government should fund the NIEHS. The NIEHS has a big impact on our health. They study the effects that the environment has on our bodies. Let’s get back to the wildfires. Apparently, fire destroys a large area of forest and any houses that close to the forest. As a result, these people lost their homes, and animals lost their lives, ecological imbalance, trees, and plants burned down, which cause the animals live there no longer have food to eat. When the forest has fewer trees and plants, it produces less oxygen. Therefore, we will have less clean air to breathe. Furthermore, as large amounts of smoke are released into the air, it causes air pollution, and difficult for us to breathe. Besides, smoke and ash can cause serious health problems for people, such as damage the throat, and the lungs. We also face the loss of animals, which might create extinction for some animals and other creatures in the forest. Naturally, the wildfires are happened because of hot, and dry weathers make the forest more likely to burn. As it starts to burn, we can not recognize it until it becomes big. Therefore, we will not be able to extinguish it in time. And if there is a strong wind at this time, it will make the fire spread…

Although many do not realize it, human activities do create an impact with global warming. In 2005, global atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide were 35 percent higher than they were before the Industrial Revolution. Scientists have concluded that most of the observed warming is very likely due to the burning of coal, oil, and gases. Human activity, such as burning fossil fuels, causes more greenhouse gases to build up in the atmosphere. Fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and natural gases are high in carbon and when burned they produce major amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2). Driving a car puts more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than anyone realizes. One gallon of…

First, burning fossil fuels are burned, that is part of everyday in California and the rest of the planet and this is the major source of air pollution. The main fossil fuels burned by humans are petroleum or oil, natural gas and coal. Most of the demands on activities of the world-wide energy demand are supplied by the fossil fuels coal, oil or gas for example to drive a car, manufacturing and generating electricity. Consequently, the production of an output of energy through the process of burning fossil fuels such as gasoline and diesel releases sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, which are two main air pollutants. In addition carbon dioxide is emitted by the burning of fossil fuels for electricity generation, for industrial uses, transportation, homes and commercial buildings. All industries that manufacture chemicals, metals, fertilizers, perfumes, medicines, plastics and cement emit gases and dangerous into the air that and there are harmful to the environment.…

Another thing that is causing global warming is fossil fuels in cars. Coals and gas are burned to make electricity, cooking, and warming or cooling our homes. Even though we are using these for our own benefits it is harming our environment and later it will have an effect on us. Fossil fuels are made from remains from other plants, and animals that was buried in the Earth for millions and millions of years. Did you know that a long time ago, that heat and pressure has made these remains into fossil fuels that everyone calls coal and gas? Well today, these fossil fuels are burned so that they can release energy that was stored inside of them. When they are burned the carbon inside of them are released in the air and creates carbon dioxide which is also bad for our environment. Burning petrol’s that are in cars, pollute the air we breathe and is harming both us and the environment but yet we still use it.…

Contrary to that belief, there are some people that insist on blaming human activities as the main culprit of global warming nowadays. There are many industries that excrete so much waste to the environment, such as carbon dioxide. Apart from that, some destructive actions done by human, such as cutting off trees, can also contribute to the rising carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. People also indirectly pollute the air by driving a car instead of riding a bicycle. According to the diagram on the article, industrial wastes in sea have cause more fossil fuel carbon…
