Lastly, you can accomplish a great amount if you work as a team. The film Powaqqatsi has a scene that shows groups of people dancing in costumes, performing for people. In this scene, the people are happy, they all have smiles on their faces and are enjoying the company of the people around them as they dance and create music together. The idea of working together in Powaqqatsi is also portrayed in the episode “Flight” of Grey’s Anatomy. The plane, transporting six of the Seattle Grace doctors, just crashed to the ground and everyone is injured and some even facing death. Meredith Grey is on a mission to find her husband, Derek Shepherd, after the plane crashes. After looking and looking, Christina Yang, Meredith’s best friend, and Meredith…

An important aspect of the film is that characters from both sides of the yard trespass to each other´s side. As described previously, Lisa and Stella go to the yard to discover what is in the box Throwald burry and this way Lisa becomes part of Jefferies´ fantasy. On the other hand, Thorwald at the end goes to Jeff´s apartment, it could be said that he “goes out of the screen” is materialized in reality. Thorwald assaults Jefferies; he is aggressive and tries to kill him (Stam & Pearson, 203). This could show the aggressive way in which art and the story shocks the audience by not only showing a theme about murder but by leading into a behavior that in real life wouldn´t be performed such as spying on other people, but at the end of the film…

Alister Grierson’s film Kokoda (2006) is historically accurate to a limited extent. The film is based on the experiences of 39th Battalion fighting against Japanese forces in the 1942 Kokoda Campaign. The representation of the Australian Soldiers and the Japanese Soldiers were in favour of the Australians. Unbiased representation is important to understand both sides of the war. The problems with food and equipment supply do not quite show in the film, although the audience still gets a feel to the sort of troubles the troops had to deal with. The nature of battle between the two opposing armies is not very detailed. One thing the film did accurately represent was the terrain and disease. However this film is still not 100 percent reliable because films are made to be entertaining and dramatic.…

Naess was the developer of deep ecology during the twentieth century as well as the initiator to the deep ecology movement. He believed that every living being had inherent worth without their utility to man, taken into account. The older man in the Documentary, filmed in 1997, Arne Naess spoke about his beliefs and practices. He shared that as a child, he used to roam by the mountain he later built a hut on called Tvergastein. The mountain hut helped Naess write many of his philosophical books about ecology. This excerpt in the film, helps his audience realize that his connection with the large mountain and the Horizon, he says was “non-disturbing”, is curtail for man’s development. Naess claims the mountain itself is an entity and that it is alive to him, therefor without a doubt he believes it has intrinsic value to him.…

In the movie “Bernie”, we follow the story and between a Carthage, Texas funeral director Bernie Tiede, and his co-dependent relationship with a wealthy widow, Marjorie Nugent. As “Bernie” unfolds, we see the companionship turn for the worse as Ms. Nugent’s ill-temper causes Bernie to snap – and lands her dead in her freezer. This movie brings up some questions, specifically regarding image. After analysis, the question I keep coming back to is “Was Bernie genuine and sincere? Or was it all a façade?” Although Bernie committed a horrible crime, I believe the answer to this question is “yes”- Bernie was a genuine man.…
