QUESTION 1
1.1 .Straight line distance between the Broham train station and trig beacon is calculated by measuring the map distance which is 9cm then convert it using the scale which is roughly 2degrees 30minutes in actual distance(2⁰30′)
1.2 .Area of a rectangle is L multiplied by W (L×w)which is 12cm ×6.5cm
We convert first both length and width to real distance
Which is 12÷ (1×25000) ×6.5÷ (1×25000)
= (12×25000)× (6.5×25000)
=300 000 ×162 500
=487500m
=4875square kilometre

1.3 .The absolute location of a place is the immediate position which can be figured by the use of numbers to accurately state the position of a place.
In this question the spot height 873 in block j7 is located at 30⁰58′E 25⁰29′S

1.4.4⁰45′
1.5 first you draw a line to link spot height 1027 in block C6 and trig beacon 97 in block C5 and then draw a slanting line which join beacon 97 and the straight line in the foot of the spot height 1027 gradient =rise⁄step=3.5cm⁄2cm=1.75cm
The gradient between spot height 1027 and trig beacon 97 = 1.75cm
Question 2
2.1 scale of the aerial photographs =focal length⁄ flight altitude=91.2mm⁄4900000mm=
2.2 To find the actual height of the warehouse building in meters, one needs to convert all the measurements given into meters and for us to able to convert these we need a scale first
Formulafor scale = focal length⁄ flight altitude which is =95.3mm⁄5180m
We convert 5180 to mm which is =5180000mm
Then reduce the proportion to the list that is 1⁄50000
The scale =1⁄50000
Then we convert the distance between principal point and the summit
That is 108.7

Upon our current situation, size is one of the crucial parts to be improved with our warehouse. 80,000-square-foot and low ceilings are apparently insufficient for efficient 53-foot trailers to work and cannot provide enough space for docks so that they have to load and unload materials much timely and is not convenient for customers picking up their freights. Compared with popular warehouse layouts, the six-story layout is less efficient because it uses elevators and chutes conveying items between each floor and adds complexity to the overall process. The old building has not done yet, but it can barely keep good condition for work. The weak floors cannot burden the heavy equipments like fork lifters and the elevators are always out of work which exacerbates the inefficiency. Besides, with the low-tech equipments we have, warehouse cannot stock various kinds of items. For instance, if we have a modern-design warehouse system, we will have more abilities to store items which are fragile, flammable, short-shelf-life or easy to cracked. The working environment is also not up to expectation. Fallen paint peels make workers sick while they are working.…
