This suburb that I live in pertaining to violent crime is quite low but at first reports with an 88.8 per 100,000 in population and then goes down. That decrease in violent crime rates could be explained with two major reasoning’s, the first and majority of possibility is due towards policing in Naperville is highly more proactive making that much harder for someone to commit a violent crime. Another aspect could be the lack of a social strain because they don’t make the need for an individual to commit crime by creating unrealistic social aspects needs as within the suburb they create enough activities for those in the community to be proactive which can cause crime less likely to happen.
3. While Naperville has a low violent crime rate when probably compared to a major city, there is still levels of crime occurring and the usage of increasing community policing initiatives. I believe that could help combat the levels of crime that does show up because creating community policing initiative, such as; mutual partnership between the police and the community could provide the police with more access to information that could either lead to a current solution for a problem or a possible prevention in future crimes. Yet the only way that could be achieved is if there is a level of dependence between police and the community and the well-being for the neighborhoods within this quiet
