The treatment consists of different kinds of drugs to help with the different symptoms. One of these drugs called Xyrem, which is a new drug that helps people get a good night sleep and lets them not be so tired throughout the day. Other drug’s out there can help as well. Another way to try to treat narcolepsy is to change one’s lifestyle, like trying to stay away from caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, and heavy meals.
